Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka has sent a clear message to Chelsea fans after scoring to help the Blues reach the semi finals of the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon. The young rising star came on as a late sub and really helped Chelsea find some goals when they desperately needed them. His energy, quality, and attacking threat really made the difference for Chelsea as they struggled against the Championship side, who luckily had a player sent off late on too. Chukwuemeka is a real talent but his development has been stunted by injuries this season, like many Chelsea players. But now he is ba ..read more

Carney Chukwuemeka came on in today’s win over Leicester and made the difference, there’s no two ways about it. The effect is enhanced by the fact he replaced Raheem Sterling, who was having an all time stinker. But even ignoring that, Carney was a game changer. He racked up 7 touches in the box, 3rd most on the team, even in his few minutes on the pitch. He’s so well suited to that inside forward role that Cole Palmer likes on the other side. HIs goal was a lovely finish, lovely link up with Palmer, an intelligent, aggressive run breaking a deep block. Surely even this brief cameo, combined ..read more

(Video): Noni Madueke scores deflected late goal to add flourish to Chelsea win

Noni Madueke has finished off a frustrating Chelsea afternoon with a nice goal, using the last kick of the game to whip one into the top corner after a nice mazy dribble between defenders. It turns out it took a deflection off James Justin, sadly, which stops it being the goal of the game. The pressure was off at this stage of course, but it’s still a good hit, and something to put smiles on the faces of fans who could rightly be frustrated by an afternoon which we made 100 times harder than it should have been. You can see the goal in the clip embedded I can’t stop watching this goal from N ..read more

Chelsea’s end of season run sets up a perfect dramatic ending

Supporting a football team is more than just the games, everyone knows that. Wins are nice, trophies are even better. But if that was all that mattered, football would be no bigger than tennis or golf. The reason football dominates every other sport in the headlines is because it’s just as much about the drama in between the games – ownership disasters, manager changes, scandals behind the scenes, transfers cancelled at the last minute, players selling crypto tokens or getting involved with romance scandals or even civil wars. We’ve seen it all. Fans all over the world, from Nigeria to Ma ..read more

Former Chelsea defender Glen Johnson has revealed he’s enjoyed watching Malo Gusto this season. Gusto joined the Blues last summer in a deal worth £26m from French club Lyon and is having an impressive debut campaign in the Premier League. The 20 year old has found himself as a regular starter for Mauricio Pochettino this season given the injury problems that have plagued Reece James. Gusto has grabbed the opportunity with both hands and put in some impressive performances and looks to be a complete modern day fullback. He’s defensively sound and is a real threat going forward with the Frenchm ..read more

Chelsea could miss out on priority summer transfer target due to one reason
Clubs Football Champions
by cfclovers

We have been hearing a lot about who Chelsea are targeting as their priority transfer signing in the summer, and it’s pretty clear that will be a new striker. It’s been something they have neglected at the club for a long time and basically anyone involved in football or with half a footballing brain knows that Chelsea badly miss and need a true centre forward and have been missing one for a long time now. Will they finally address that in the summer? And if they do, who will they bring in? Those questions will remain unanswered for a little while, but it is clear that Napoli striker Victor Os ..read more

Trevoh Chalobah’s recovery from injury has come at just the right time for Chelsea. They’re pretty stretched at the back, and Chalobah has already played in three positions since returning to fitness in February. Speaking in a really interesting exclusive interview on the Chelsea website, Chalobah talked a bit about his positions and how he wanted to help the team: “It’s a role I’m comfortable in and I’ll play wherever I’m needed,” he said when asked about playing in the middle of a back 3 for his first start of the season, against Brentford. “I’ve played in the middle of a three, on the right ..read more

Former Blues striker predicts Chelsea vs Newcastle on Monday night with ‘law of averages’

A former Chelsea striker has been asked to do the impossible and predict a scoreline for the next Chelsea match. As we know, Chelsea have been so inconsistent and unpredictable this season under Mauricio Pochettino, you have no idea which Chelsea is going to turn up on the day. This has been part of the big problems this season and the reason they are still only sat in 11th place in the league as we head towards the middle of March. It’s been far from good enough and the pressure stays firmly on the head coach this season. But a win at home to Newcastle United this coming Monday night would do ..read more

(Video): Pochettino says he has just been “managing circumstances” rather than actually moving forwards

In his press conference yesterday Mauricio Pochettino gave interesting insight on how he’d seen the season so far. He says he’s been “managing the circumstances” generated by so many injuries and new players, rather than being able to actively coach his team and improve them. It is a fair way of summing up what we’ve seen – it’s always reactive rather than proactive. From the moment Christopher Nkunku went down hurt in preseason, it’s felt like every move has been a reaction or a compensation for what went before, rather than a step forward. We’re just treading water, thanks to a barrage of in ..read more

Chelsea’s interest in defender looks impossible – fee likely to be €50m or more

The Daily Mirror have today reported that Everton are looking at potential replacements for their star centre back Jarrad Branthwaite, knowing it’s unlikely that he leaves in the summer. There are a number of teams interested, and Chelsea’s name is thrown in there alongside Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspurs. He’s a player we really like the look of, and under different circumstances, in times gone by, we can see him being exactly the type of player we would target. But given his age, pedigree and potential, we’d surely be talking about a vast transfer fee. Transfermarkt value ..read more
