World Bowls is pleased to announce that Hong Kong, China, will host the 2024 World Bowls/IIBC Under 25 Championship from December 2 – 8, 2024 (host club TBC).
Additionally, the 2024 World Bowls Champion of Champions will be held from November 25 – 30 , 2024, in New Zealand and that the venue will be Browns Bay Bowling Club, Browns Bay, Auckland.

World Bowls CEO Neil Dalrymple is this week attending and representing World Bowls at the SportAccord World Sport & Business Summit taking place in Birmingham.
The event is focussed on engaging International Sports Federations, International Olympic Committee, organising committees, and other organisations involved in the development and business of sport.

Following the April meeting of the Commonwealth Games Federation Executive Board, it has been confirmed this morning that the CGF are considering multiple proposals to host the 2026 Games.
In a statement, Ann-Louise Morgan, director of sport for the Commonwealth Games Federation, said: “Significant progress has been made and we are excited by the early concepts, which aim to reset and reframe the Games. We are now working collaboratively with the relevant CGAs to undertake further detailed assessments, and aim to announce the 2026 Commonwealth Games host in May.

We all know the benefits of a sport like bowls, to help learn a new skill, meet new people, take gentle exercise and have fun, and that is what the Disability Bowls England is all about, encouraging disabled people to become involved, and proving bowls is for everyone (writes Judy Plater, national development and administrative officer).

England have been crowned British Isles Indoor Bowls Council men’s International Series winners for the 42nd time.
They clinched the RB Hilton Trophy at Falcon IBC with a winner takes all 27 shot victory against defending champions Scotland.
Ireland beat Wales by 11 to clinch third place and avoid the wooden spoon.
Player of the series was Dominic McVittie, England.

Plans for British Isles Bowls events for 2024 have been confirmed.
The season kicks off with the British Isles Championships and Internationals at Victoria Park, Royal Leamington Spa, England from Wednesday 26th June to Sunday 30th June. Players from England, Ireland, Jersey, Scotland and Wales will come together to battle for individual and team honours across five days of action-packed bowls.

Bowls Scotland are pleased to share that period products are now available at the National Centre for Bowling, Ayr. These products are free and can be found in all of the toilets around the facility and in the foyer.
Working in partnership with South Ayrshire Council, the period products will be regularly re-supplied as we look ahead to a busy summer of bowls on the South West coast. Melbourne Pulse star Gary Kelly (pictured) becomes the 10th Bowls Premier League MVP winner, rewarded for an outstanding week on the greens at Moama Bowling Club throughout #BPL19 (writes Lachlan Williams, Bowls Australia).
The Northern Irishman accumulated 39 votes from a possible 54 available to claim his first BPL MVP honour.
Competing in his 10th event, Kelly was previously an MVP runner-up at BPL16, but was able to breakthrough at Moama as he helped the Pulse to second on the ladder and win a third BPL title.
