It's been several years since I was here life got in the way, covid killed my budget but now I have time to get my 4 wheeler going but as time passed I have more questions than answers.
I have a 2 person 4 wheeler, 17 inch moped wheels, I've only seen 2 others like it, but it is factory built, I would love to know what company built it.
My original plan was put a horror tool fright edger predator engine on a little trailer out the rear like an old briggs flyer idea.
Now I see electric has...

I came across this video by a guy who really knows his stuff when it comes to science and engineering about using freewheels to make a trike split differential setup that’s easy and cheap to make.
Hope this helps someone out.
So check it out and tell me what y’all think

Winter project motorized Kent Alameda folding trike.
The Kent Alameda is an aluminum frame 26" single speed folding trike that sells for $200 at Walmart. I chose this trike mainly because of the rear axle design that would allow a 44 tooth or larger rear sprocket to be mounted on the axle. Also it doesnt have the weird double chain system and bolt on rear assembly used on the Schwinn Meridian and most other brands. Unlike the 7 speed version, the single speed version has room on the axle...

big fat trike. Extremely heavy, has a 5hp 2stroke tecumseh. I will need a governor, but can see my self bypassing it and ventilating the block. I wanted to build something more butchered for a change. It feels good to use pillow block bearings. I will have to build some nerf bars, to stand on. Geared to go 30. I have some turf tires for street use so I don’t tear up my good mud tires with a full spool. I hope I won’t have issues in the area of plowing the front end in a corner. If I do, a...

Wheel is shot. I have now become aware that this is a major problem with this model trike. The solution of course is to replace the wheel, maybe re-spoke it with stronger spokes. From what others are saying, the wheel cannot handle speeds better than about 10mph and what happened today proves this. Cheap junk I guess. So here is my next question. Does anyone make a trike replacement wheel besides schwinn's junk that can handle the speeds and fit my trike or am I hosed at this point? A shame...
