Hello,
I bought a Bacchetta A26 from eBay. It's just arrived, completely dissembled (everything except the wires.)
Putting the headset together, I can see that the fork doesn't come anywhere near long enough to fill the clamp. I've attached a picture.
This feels dangerous to me? Am I right to feel this way?
Thanks

If you live in the snow belt like I do, I cant ride for at least 4 months, and probably 5 some years. I remember when I got back on my DF bike in the spring, after about a 20 mile ride, by rump hurt bad enough I couldnt ride for at least a week. But since 2005, I went to bents and trikes, and have no such problem.
With their comfortable seats, they really shine in the spring, and are no hinderance to riding as far as you can or want to ..read more

The UCI has all sorts of rules governing bike racing. It is supposed to keep racing pure and dependent on the rider, not the bike. But years ago when a company began making a recumbent bike, even with a second class rider, he was breaking all the records. So the UCI declared a recumbent was not a bicycle. In my opinion that decision was influenced by bike mfg that didnt want to have to buy all new tooling to keep up.
Now come 90 years forward to our time. We now have CF bikes that have...

How many recumbents have you actually seen on the road?
I read posts from recumbent riders from time to time but unless you are involved in BHPV racing or similar it’s possible that unless you have one in your garage you might never have seen another one on the road while out riding.
Before I ever thought about riding a recumbent myself I used to see a two wheeler being ridden quite quickly from time to time on the A556 Northwich bypass while taking my lad to school around 2005-2008...

An Epiphany, and Some Recumbent Ponderings.
I’ve recently been browsing several years’ worth of a German Velomobile forum (with the help, and sometimes hindrance, of Google Translate). It’s always interesting to read other people’s views, especially from a different national or cultural perspective. Plenty of stuff about continental makes of bike over the years, many now defunct, others I’d never heard of, new riders wanting advice, how can I go faster, what will suit me, equipment...

I like I think most trike riders are good citizens. When riding along streets or even bike paths, when we see junk that cause a flat, we can simply reach down and pick it up.
A few days ago, there was a cast iron water cap laying in an intersection, right in the driving lane. I rode out and put it back in its hole. A car honked and gave me a thumbs up ..read more

I have a Kettwiessel Evo Steps but now after couple of years of ownership decided I should know how to turn the standard lights on or off. This is in good used condition but I cannot find any way of turning the lights on.
The internet and the owner’s manual are of no help.
Somebody must know but before I start phoning around can anybody point me in the right direction ..read more
