Hello,
I am new in this Forum and I need to get some info about a conversion of a 10"/16" Kick Scooter.
Theres plenty of conversion kits to get from china with a ready electro wheel rim 16",controller,akku,etc.
Has one of you experience with those kits?Any recommendations?
For me ,as a electrician,is maybe not the big problem to get it all together.
But,here in germany,I face a problem with laws.We got the strictest laws worldwide for those vehicles.
If they drive only with electric power, you have to have turn signals,a horn,a numberplate and ,of course ,a 100€/year special insurance for this ..read more

Here is my 70-mile review from an EUC rider's point of view.
I got 26 flatland riding miles with 12ish battery percent left on Sunday. The escooter has 3 riding modes. I used the intermediate mode with cruise control set to 10mph for much of the ride. I hit 18 mph on the only downhill section. On the return ride, the scooter came to a stop on a steep bridge overpass. Changing the ride mode to 'sport' increased available torque to make it up the remaining steep incline. The ride is easy….standup up and rest hands on the handlebars/throttle/brake. Not being required to make constant balan ..read more

Hi,
So i have my Ninebot es2 since october 2018 (the black) and bought the additional battery in January 2019.
I did not have an issue other than some loose screws here and there with it until recently where when i turn the light on it goes only for 12 - 15 km/h instead of 30 km/h.
Sometimes it was going slow 8 - 11 km/h even with the lights off. I disassembled the scooter and saw that the connectors to the motor (blue and brown) have melted.
I Attempted to repair the Mainboard and replace the "b" resistor that apparently is causing this issue.
The problem ..read more

Hi I was wondering if anyone here had the same issue. Yesterday i was scooting dowhill and a bicycle came in my way so i had to break all of a sudden. After that my ninebot E22 lost the power (was still on but not going) and i could not break anymore. Luckily there was a flat area and i managed to get off and the scooter, I turned it on and off and rebooted. At first looked like was ok but then was running with "hicups" ... like going and then losing power than speed up again and then losing power again in a metter of few seconds ? Can anyone help?  ..read more

Hi,
Yesterday my ES2 started to feel wierd. It all happened when going downwill and started to brake. Immediately after applied the electric brake, the scooter turned off and I lost control of it while going downwill! Luckily I had a uphill on a left corner and no cars were there on the moment.
After stop, clicked to turn it on and all seems fine. But not when riding, acceleration was slow and when using the electric brake, the drive hub started giving some crackling sounds. I was on sport mode. While riding home, lost acceleration and electrical braking. Although, the scooter turn on fine and ..read more

My Ninebot ES1's fork became loose in its socket. But this is not the usual problem of the steering bearings getting loose. The fork's octagonal stem itself is loose within the sleeve which moves together with steering. No matter how tight I secure the crowned nut, the fork can rotate a bit left and right relative to the steering column.
What might cause this, and how do I fix it ..read more

I attached an external battery to my Ninebot ES1, which initially did indeed give me the extended range and sport mode performance.
However, after some time, it sterted to give me the 42/48 errors, which are presumably the symptom of the utter design failure of the rigidly secured connectors between the battery and the scooter: insecure contacts arising from vibrations.
So, I started to troubleshoot the situation, and tried to check if the control board can detect the external battery, while it doesn't indicate any errors. I've read at several places that the Ninebot app supposedly shows exter ..read more
