I would like to frame this dress , I’m not opposed to the DIY route or professional route , but can you all offer suggestions on both routes ? Thank you .

Hi all, I’m trying to get an autographed jersey framed for my brother as a graduation present. Is there a conventional size that you’d recommend or do you think I should get a custom frame?

hi everyone! new to art/framing. i bought this from a thrift shop (yes i know the poor frame is struggling) and noticed it has the artists’ name on the back of the frame. sometimes i’ve seen them on the front, too. i haven’t seen many with this feature (no idea what it’s called) and am wondering if this is something the customer had paid extra for? thanks so much guys.

Yes I work at a big box frame shop...but I have also taken the time to learn framing outside of where I work. I take pride in what I build that it's quality work that is safe for whatever the art may be. However, some of my fellow framers at other locations may not. We had a lovely customer bring in a shadow box he was gifted for his retirement. Asked us to add some other items to it, sure no problem. He even gave us free reign to design the added pieces as we saw fit. I saw the back and saw it was assembled by someone that used to work at the neighboring location about 30 minutes away. Framed this last night and generally pleased with the result but I essentially had to stuff a B2 poster in a frame that was a couple of cm too small to be B2. I used masking tape to fold the poster around and I think this was mostly successful apart from the top right where there’s warping. Is this because I didn’t tape enough of the tape around? Any thoughts would be appreciated

This is a 12"x18" print, with 2.5" mat and 1.25" frame. Does this look good or should I make any adjustments? (For instance, I considered a 3" mat, or a .75" frame with 1.5" or 2" mat.) It's a canvas print if that makes a difference. Thanks!

I do woodwork on the side and a good friend asked me to make custom frames for her diplomas. Made these from bloodwood and maple. I have a couple more coworkers who want me to make frames now but I have no idea what to reasonably charge. I only charged my friend the cost of materials since it was.my first try at framing. What could I reasonably charge for something along these lines? Obviously depends on materials and time, but I'm just looking for a ballpark figure so as not to undersell myself or offend my co-workers with a comically high asking price. Thanks, and suggestions welcome!

My father died recently and while going through his things I found a postcard he wrote to my grandparents in 1975. I want to frame it so I can see the text but also the photo on the postcard. Any advice?
I’m picking up a mini football display case from Michael’s later and I’m thinking of gluing a recipe card holder in the center? Or like, gluing 2 pieces of wood with the postcard wedged in the center?
Help.
