I officially have a cookie monster on my hands! Earlier this month I shared a chocolate chip cookie with Nate and ever since he has been nonstop asking for “cookie cookie cookie.” Since I’m not trying make feeding my toddler sugary sweets a daily habit, I ordered a few bags of Laird Superfood chocolate chip cookie mix to keep on hand. I’m a big fan of Laird’s brownie mix and this one is just as tasty! I also love how these mixes take under 12 minutes to bake and only require adding oil and water– no egg needed!
If you’re looking for guilt-free, plant-based baking mixes then you need to try th ..read more

I snuck out to Trader Joe’s this afternoon while Nate was napping (I know I owe you his birth story!) to grab a few groceries and WOW– Fall. Overload. There must have been at least 50+ different autumn-inspired food items from snacks to desserts to drinks, soups, breads and more! I had to hold myself back from adding literally everything to my cart. Here are some of the things that caught my eye!

If you’re craving a fruity and refreshing alcohol-free drink then look no further than this strawberry mint margarita mocktail recipe. Y’all know I LOVE my margs and these are nearly as good as the real thing and perfect for indulging in on a hot day. This recipe is very easy to whip up in a blender and can easily be modified based on what ingredients you have on hand. I actually made my own mint simple syrup, but if you’re looking to throw these together quickly you can just blend mint leaves directly into the drink or skip them entirely. The yummy combo of strawberry, orange and lime is jus ..read more

Cooking has been a BIG stress reliever for me the last few weeks. While I previously only had time to make one full-fledged recipe per day (usually dinner) lately I’ve been opting for multi-step recipes at lunch too. All the extra hours in the kitchen have honestly been a very welcome distraction and great way to shift my focus to something else other than the news. Hope y’all are hanging in there!
Since I’ve been spending so much time in my kitchen lately I thought it would be ..read more

If you’d asked me a week ago if I’d be blogging about vitamins and how I’m boosting my immune system— I wouldn’t have believed you. It’s wild how much can change in seven days, yet here we are starting a brand new week with most of society being encouraged to say at home and self-quarantine.
I’ve been posting updates daily to my Instagram Story about how Nick and I are adjusting to life now that #socialdistancing has become the new normal. Nick’s company thankfully made the decision Friday to have all employees work from home indefinitely and I couldn’t be happier to have him safe in our apar ..read more

What’s your favorite place to shop? I wonder how many women would reply with ‘Trader Joe’s’ as their answer. I can tell ya that this girl would!
I used to despise grocery shopping when we lived in Manhattan. I never was able to figure out a good weekly routine of when to go to avoid the masses and I hated having to walk home multiple blocks carrying heavy bags.
Now that we live in Jersey City I kinda love grocery shopping. It’s funny. I actually still shop in Manhattan because the Trader Joe’s Chelsea location is just a block away from my go-to pilates studio and the PATH train stop. However ..read more

The last few weeks I’ve spent debating whether or not I should try to come up with another fall cocktail recipe. I mean, is there really another drink that comes close to being as good as last year’s apple cider margaritas?? Seeing how much y’all loved that recipe was everything to me, but it definitely put on some pressure to make sure that any future drinks I share are just as tasty!

I missed you Trader Joes!!! If you can even believe it… Until yesterday I had not shopped at TJs in over THREE MONTHS. I’m not sure how I survived the summer without a visit to my favorite grocery store. I guess that’s how you know you’ve been busy?
Allllll the fall things were out in full force at my local Hoboken, New Jersey store. The second I walked through the sliding doors I was greeted by an overwhelmingly delicious cinnamon scent and pumpkins galore. Heavenly!!! So I didn’t buy a ton of groceries on this trip… I left with a bunch of my go-to products (you can read more about my favor ..read more
