Large parts of Wokingham Borough remain under a flood watch this morning (January 3), with the lower River Loddon having burst its banks around Winnersh, Woodley and Hurst. The Environment Agency alert, which came into force on New Year’s Day, noted that is possible in the area. It asks residents to monitor local water levels and weather conditions and to avoid using low lying footpaths or entering areas prone to flooding. Police appeal for witnesses after vehicle fires

Thames Valley Police is appealing for information and witnesses following two incidents of arson in Earley and Woodley. The first incident occurred at approximately 7.30pm on Thursday December 22 in Rosedale Crescent, Earley, during which a 22 Plate black Fiat 500 was set on fire. Then on Christmas Eve at around 10pm, a 53 plate silver Mercedes Sprinter van was set on fire in Harding Road, Woodley. Nobody was injured in either incident, which are being linked, but both vehicles were destroyed. EXCLUSIVE: Average property prices in Wokingham rose by £57,131 during the year ending November 2022 according to a new report.
