Hi Guys! I just posted some photos of my Libra Colour, but got a lot of follow up questions for photos in daylight, photos of manga, etc. so I decided to post a more comprehensive set as a replacement. Hope this helps. Let me know if you want to see anything else and I will try my best. I don’t have a stylus unfortunately so I can’t comment or test that. submitted by /u/ILikeBooksAndRunning [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Does Kobo app not work on Android 11? (login issue)

(EDIT: This turned out to be a conflict with AdAway - see my comment below. Updating AdAway to 6.1.1 resolved it.) On my Pixel 4a 5G running Android 11, clicking either Sign In or Create Account from the Kobo app's main screen results in an unhelpful "Something went wrong - Please check your Internet connection and try again" error - no username or password fields ever appear. However, these functions do work on a borrowed Pixel 3a phone running Android 12, and my 4a 5G is still able to browse titles, and access other app functions without logging in. I've tried clearing caches & data, to ..read more

Kobo/Calibre collections and "tagging"

I've been trying to Google the answer to this with little success. I'm using Calibre to manage my library and the KoboTouch plugin. I've made it so my Calibre tags show up as Collections on my Kobo. My question: is it possible to filter by multiple Collections/tags in Kobo? Like if I have a Collection/tag for length (Under 20k) and then want to cross filter on a second Collection/tag, like Fantasy, and on the Kobo it'd be able to show me which titles have both tags. Would love to know if there's a way to do this! submitted by /u/wafflewhimsy [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Any people who still use this one? I bought mine in 2016 and I still use it (I read more now than back then). Should I upgrade once I finish uni (Im broke now) or should I upgrade now anyway bc there will be a huge difference? submitted by /u/keepevolvingboy [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

What’s the deal with the new Libra Colour?

Keep seeing all these posts from folks who’ve gotten the Colour early, and everyone seems upset by the backlight and/or the screen? I just preordered my Libra Colour last week (my first ereader), so I’m not sure what’s happening/what this is all about? submitted by /u/Herstmonceux [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Does Kobo offer a digest of your notes and highlights?

I want a workflow like the following: I highlight some text on my e-ink reader with the pen. I make a note that is associated with that highlight in handwriting. That handwriting is converted to digital text. The highlight and the digital text are saved to the cloud and accessible so that you can see them all at once. I want to be able to, for a particular book, browse all of my highlights, and associated notes (ideally including the date that the highlight / note was made), on the device, but even more importantly, on a webapp. That gives me a starting place for exporting my annotations to ..read more

Libra 2 or Libra 2 Colour

Simple post - I have had the same Kindle since 2013 (it still has physical page turn buttons on the side) and have generally liked it but my goal is to read more this year and I want a Kobo for Overdrive/Libby support. I've also started a new job that requires me to study more theory/non-fiction outside of work. Typically, I have always read non-fiction through a physical book because I like the ability to mark up pages, bookmark, tag chapters, etc. but I don't really want to spend the money on physical books for work + don't have space to accumulate finance books I'll likely not re-read ofte ..read more

Not sure how but I think I put a bit of weight on as I sat down. Convenient timing since the new devices are coming. Debating on getting the Clara BW instead since I don't need the color but afraid I might miss the page turn buttons. submitted by /u/veloholic91 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
