Hello everyone! I will be installing Linux Mint on my build, in a separate SSD from my Windows 11. I am going with the Edge ISO since all my hardware is new. My CPU is an Intel 14th Gen 14700KF and has no integrated graphics. My GPU is an Nvidia 4070. My question is, since that I have no integrated graphics and can only install my Nvidia drivers after booting into Linux Mint, will my pc work after the first boot and without the nvidia drivers? Something is strange here, yesterday Steam worked as expected, today it’s stuck on loading. I tried reinstalling Mint and same thing happens. I fired up a Windows system and Steam works. How can this be? It can’t be on my end can it? I literally reinstalled Mint. I also tried the official Steam install as well as flatpak, same thing. Hi All. Mounting Google Drive is automatic but my issue is that the connection will drop, and I get the error message below. The only way to re-mount is to restart the machine. Linux mint cinnamon noob here. I booted a live version on my windows machine (2ghz, 4gb ram) and it froze with 8 Firefox tabs open (Google, amazon, Facebook, espn x2 all homepages) nothing else running. 2nd time, I opened just one tab (espn homepage) and I was already at 65% ram use, nervous to open more tabs. Is this because it's a live version of usb? I'm interested in linux mint to get another few years out of my laptop and learn Linux but with that kind of issue it leaves me disappointed.
