Hell everyone, I have a pair of CDJ2000nexus and a DJM900nexus which are linked together with an ethernet switch and I'm playing with a Maschine Mikro MK3 (drums, sequences and instruments live) in order to create a "hybrid dj set". I'm playing with usb keys and not on rekordbox performance mode (my Macbook is only here for Maschine). I got a pair of XDJ 1000 MK2's recently and the lack of physical hot cues is really bumming me out. I currently have a pretty good solve with DDJ XP1 providing me physical buttons which I can use without a computer but the problem is that it takes up a USB slot so to have the physical cues available only one USB can be used at a time...not great for live gigging or just mixing with friends. I'm still looking for any way to have physical hot cues without taking up a whole USB slot and not have to bring a computer along. I understand you can instant double and have the same track on two channels - could you then keep a loop of the doubled track going on layer 2/second channel and then bring in a different track on layer 1 of the same deck? Has somebody the problem that similar mid frequencies from two tracks together sounds like a delay? 1 eq 12 o clock, second eq around 9 o clock, problem gets for sure bigger with increasing the second mids.
