OpenAI plans to release no code tools so that anybody can build what they call GPT’s for their upcoming GPT store. Similar to how the App Store adds value to Apple products, OpenAI’s GPT Store will be a way for developers to submit GPTs (think “apps”) that enrich the core ChatGPT product experience. ChatGPT reaches an impressive 100 million weekly users, making the GPT Store a uniquely large opportunity for third parties to reach a massive audience without needing to write any code. What does this No Code promise look like from OpenAI? Building GPTs with No Code Currently ChatGPT supports Cust ..read more

Wrk Enters World of No Code Business Process Automation – Executive Perspective with CEO Mo El-Barachi
NoCodeDev
by Kevin Lindquist

Business Process Automation vendors continue to fight for differentiation. As large legacy players like Pegasystems grow up to battle Salesforce with CRM-focused enterprise offerings, other vendors are fighting it out with messages meant to attract more specific groups of either technical or less technical people. The build-it-yourself message that many vendors push to either developers or business users can quickly muddy the water, however. And, in reality, many business buying groups are generally more focused on the desired outcome of their business process rather than being hung up on who ..read more

AWS Launches No Code Mobile and Web App Builder: HONEYCODE.AWS
NoCodeDev
by Kevin Lindquist

With AWS launching Honeycode we can confirm the rumors we published about AWS launching a no code or low code tool for everyone. With the release coming in the form of a beta, we won’t really know the planned scope of this platform for some time. Will Honeycode end up like Google’s App Maker platform and be deprioritized in favor of some acquisition later? Google did purchase AppSheet recently, who we covered last year through an interview with Santiago Uribe, now a Senior Product Manager at Google. AWS doesn’t really have the same history as Google though, and could Honeycode evolve into som ..read more

IT Asset Management can make a big part of the IT organizations life easy – or very, very painful. Issuing laptops, or managing a BYOD policy should be simple, but even simple things change. The cost of change is one of the biggest barriers to happy IT teams. As the NoCodeDev team meets with no code vendors, low code vendors, and other software companies who stand to benefit greatly from no and low code partnerships. We see a lot of opportunity for new methods of workflow management in the enterprise. One such example could give small and fast growing companies a new option for solving the IT ..read more

Is AWS launching a no code platform? “AWS for Everyone”
NoCodeDev
by Kevin Lindquist

The no code and low code development world is accelerating as new entrants and new communities are becoming more vocal. In all of this noise we almost missed a great piece of reporting from GeekWire earlier this year on AWS. “AWS for Everyone” popped up across LinkedIn as AWS binged on additional engineering hires. Since GeekWire’s reporting it appears that AWS made the decision to bury the project from the publics eye with some mandated LinkedIn profile changes. Tom Krazit, GeekWire author, snapped screenshots of these profiles before the AWS employees changed their profile. Conspiracy theori ..read more

A missing step to organization wide success with no code development.

In my conversations with technology and sales leaders at no code development software companies, I’ve found that many agree on access to data and understanding where data lives to be one of the biggest hurdles for no code developers to overcome. You can find many different approaches to this problem. For example, AppSheet has a wizard at the start of building an application that asks the no code developer to identify the types of data that will be required by the application. Using simple drop-downs and some other internal smarts developed by AppSheet, this process makes some assumptions and p ..read more

Low code and no code vendors beware, Apple is slowly but surely entering the no code development game. With the announcement of SwiftUI, a new programming language built on top of Swift, Apple is doing whatever it can to lower the barriers for new app development on its platform. SwiftUI in Xcode with “Drag and Drop” App Development While this is definitely more code than other tools we’ve showcased here at NoCodeDev.com, it shows a strategic directive within Apple to lower the barrier to native app development. During the keynote, Apple showcased how much less code it took to create the simpl ..read more

Easier Done than Said: Quick Review with Richard Billington, CTO at MatsSoft

It shouldn’t surprise us anymore if you’ve been following our Executive Perspective series where we learn about vendors in the space, their goals, and origin stories, but for some reason I still chuckle a little bit when I hear the “we used to be an agency but a customer opportunity turned us into something else” story. The agency days are far behind Richard Billington and the rest of the team at MatsSoft. In fact, they were acquired by Netcall a few years ago and were given even more room to grow into a low code application development leader that is recognized by Forrester as one of the top ..read more
