In case you didn’t know, I’m not the biggest sweets person. It takes me a week to finish one slice of cake. But! I’ve recently had some not-so-sweet desserts that I really enjoyed and I thought I would share them with you all. I’m also learning that anything sweet with espresso is a good pairing. Churros & Espresso from Alma Argentina Their churros are made to order, and what I love about these is that there’s no added sugar on top, just a glaze of dulce de leche and that’s it. I dipped my churro in my espresso and it was an excellent choice. Tiramisu & Espresso from Turci Pasta Trev ..read more

My “New” Dietary Preferences

I decided that I would share about this enough so I might as well ‘write a blog about it.’ So here it is, my dietary preferences. I have always participated in a cleanse called ‘Shred10’ which is a campaign created by Juice Plus to ‘shred out’ things from our diet to reset our bodies.   I myself would do the shred about every other month, then I would slowly ease back into my foodie life of eating noodles and cocktails. It wasn’t until January of this year, I had a wedding coming up that I was in the bridal party of, so instead of doing the Shred just for the standard 10 days, I deci ..read more

Before I arrived in Frisco, Texas I was expecting nothing but crowds and greasy BBQ. Only to be blown away by all the authentic Asian influence, and Indian influence these pockets of Texas have!! The intent behind visiting Frisco, TX was to capture and help launch the Grand Opening of The Pop Parlour Newest Location in Frisco (be sure to check them out if you haven’t already!). But while I was there, I had to check out some local spots along the way! BIG thank you’s to my Texas friends who were willing to chauffeur me around town, I would’ve never been able to check out all the things I did if ..read more

8 Breakfast Go-To Spot’s in Orlando

A lot of people have asked me “where is the best place to go for breakfast?” or “where is a great BEC?” (BEC is a Bacon, Egg and Cheese Sandwich. I know, I had to Google it too). Normally, I would say “my house, in my pajamas.” However, there are a few places I like to visit when I want to treat myself and not go through all the workings of making poached eggs.  Here’s a list of some of my go-to spots in Orlando to try for breakfast: 1) First Watch.  Waterford Lakes I love First Watch because they serve amazing coffee, and I can finish an entire meal and not feel like I have to take ..read more

How To Make Summer Rolls

I always buy summer rolls whenever I go to any Vietnamese restaurant. It’s always half for the rolls and a half for the yummy peanut sauce! I’ve tried making Summer Rolls before and it didn’t go to the greatest, mainly because I kept breaking the rice paper every time! But, when I went to East Side Asian Market, I saw they had large rice paper wraps (These made such a difference!). No matter how hard you try, (with the large rice paper) you can’t mess these up.  Think of it as a tortilla that is clear, and tacky, it tastes nothing like a tortilla. Here’s what you need: Large Rice Paper ..read more

How To Make Pad Thai

Let me just start by saying: I’ve never felt confident in the kitchen. I’m naturally a slower-paced person, and working with heat and timing has never been a comfort of mine. However, what I’ve learned is that if you have everything out on the table, it can’t go that wrong. This recipe was literally on the back of the rice noodles I bought at the grocery store. It came out delicious and I’ve made it MANY times since.  Here’s what you need: Pad Thai Sauce (recipe at the end) Oil of preference (I used avocado oil) Rice Noodles (I normally use half a bag) 1 Egg beaten Peanuts Scallions Cil ..read more

The Festival of the Arts is the festival Disney squeezed in between the Food and Wine Festival (Fall) & the Flower & Garden Festival (Spring) at Epcot. Based on what I’ve tried from this festival, it might be my new favorite. MIGHT. Quick tip: You must wear your mask over your nose and mouth at all times while at Disney. Except for when you are eating or drinking in a stationary spot. If you do not comply you will be asked to leave. What’s unique about the Festival of the Arts is local artists come out and debut their artwork for purchase. Giving you a chance to bring a piece of the m ..read more

I’ve selected a few “junk food” places in Orlando you can visit that are dairy free (free of Cow’s Milk). Inspired by my friends who are allergic to dairy, or are currently breastfeeding (ironic, they’re producing milk but cannot consume it) and dairy gives their babies weird poop. Dairy Free Ice Cream That Tastes Like the Real Deal from the Greenery Creamery (Instagram / Website) Ice cream, America’s favorite junk food. They have locations in Sanford AND Orlando, and their flavors change DAILY. They post their flavors on Instagram for peeps who wanna stay in the loop. They’re known for their ..read more

If I had known that Dec 2019 was going to be my last time visiting New York City for a while, let alone large crowds for a while. I’m not sure if I would’ve done anything differently. Truth be told I don’t think I physically could after the amount of walking we did on that 4-day voyage!  This was my first trip to New York and it was during the best time, Christmas time. It was a pleasure seeing things that have been seen in films but you get to live and breathe it yourself.  I will admit the transportation is not my favorite, but I didn’t get robbed or stolen from the whole trip so I ..read more
