The light at our Raleigh, NC family session at the NC Art Museum on this night was so gorgeous. It just sparkled. And I am still in awe of the wildflowers blooming… you would never know it was the end of fall. I’ve said it a thousand times but my favorite part of family photography is seeing the same families year after year. Last spring, at the peak of cherry blossom season, I had the honor of photographing Whitney at Duke Gardens in Durham, NC for her bridal portrait session. It was such a lovely day with Carolina blue skies. It is so hard to pick a favorite because Whitney was glowing and her dress was stunning. Last May, my daughter, Emeili, went with a friend to his junior prom at Thales Academy. Tyler graciously allowed me to take pictures in the heat for far too long because – as Em says- I’m extra. But I loved the final images from Duke Gardens in Durham… sometimes I still see her as five years old so it is a good reminder that she is -indeed- a full adult about to graduate.
