It may look like a wedding but this was just Sarah and Ben’s engagement photos! I was in complete awe of their outfit choice for the session and I am now officially team “full out glam” for engagement sessions! This couple won the lottery on weather for their sessions in 2023. Not only was it a stunning night for their engagement session, just a few days before their wedding, they also lucked out with amazing weather on their wedding that ended with a thunderstorm creating amazing skies! We started their Perkins Cove engagement session along the Marginal Way in Ogunquit and walked out to a few ..read more

Iceland - Family Trip | Destination Wedding Photographers

One thing I love about our jobs is the flexibility to really get to spend time with our family doing what we love - Traveling! Unless that travel falls over a weekend from May-October. Hahaha. But we may an exception for last September as it was our 15th wedding anniversary. Dean convinced me to block off two whole weekends in the busiest time of the year to take a trip to Iceland. I was so stressed turning away wedding inquiries for those weekends but in the end, it paid off! The only problem? I spent the entire trip seeing other couples celebrating their destination weddings in Iceland and h ..read more

Engagement Session in a Greenhouse | Dan and Lisa

Nothing makes me happier on a cold day than getting into a very hot greenhouse! Blackrock Farm in Kennebunkport graciously let us use their beautiful little slice of heaven for part of Dan and Lisa’s Engagement Session. Even letting their dog, Lock, join in! He was super excited to be roaming around the greenhouse too. I started off their session by meeting them at their car, or I think it was their car. Because it was so cold outside and so hot and humid in the greenhouse I had to get in there early and leave my cameras and my glasses. The minute I walked in my glasses fogged up and I couldn ..read more

The D Family's Boothbay Family Portraits

A quick throwback to warmer weather! I’ve been working with this family for years and it’s been so fun seeing the little ones grow over that time. Typically we meet in Kennebunkport but this past year they wanted to try a new location. I LOVE photographing in new locations and challenging myself to scout new and different locations. When they came to me and said they were staying up in Boothbay and wanted a fun beach nearby, that was a true challenge but we timed their session perfectly to match up with low-tide and we had just enough space on this beach for them to space out and all the kiddo ..read more

Colony Wedding Video | Katie and Seth

I can’t think of a better day to post this Kennebunkport wedding video than on April Fools Day. Katie and Seth filled, and I mean FILLED, their day with so much laughter and smiles. Even a smear of red lipstick on Katie’s dress couldn’t even bother the day. (It came out - make up wipes for the win!!) Katie and Seth have been through a lot in their few years together and they celebrated like no one has before on their day. Their ceremony officiated by their siblings who filled the ceremony with touching moments and lots of jokes and smiles. There were mid-ceremony selfies, a few happy tears, bu ..read more

Imagination Session | Neverland Bedroom

I’m for anything Peter Pan inspired. Pretty sure I own all the movie variations of the tale and one year, for Christmas, Dean bought me a 1st edition of the original book! I’m even planning an eventual Neverland inspired tattoo - I have too many ideas so I’ve got to pare it down. When little miss K first signed up to be a model for our Imagination Sessions I had a winter scene that I had started to design for her but then I started to play around a bit, and after watching Hook and a few of the Pirates of the Caribbean, came up with a great idea for a window scene looking out onto Mermaid Lagoo ..read more

Acadia National Park Family Portraits with the B Family

This family hiked the Beehive Trail together the morning before their session so naturally when we met up at Sand Beach for the beginning of their session, we had to go to the far side and incorporate Behive in the background. For those of you who have hiked it, or seen photos, it’s a gorgeous trail but a steep one with lots of metal rungs and small walkways along a sheer cliff. Kudos to the B Family for hiking it! It’s one that I will “enjoy” only in photos. I’m not scared of heights, just my bad balance! I’m so surprised that families will book with me after a full day of adventuring in the ..read more

So my brain is pretty much fueled by caffeine. If I have too much of it, the ideas pop in rapid fire and I have to write stuff down or it’ll be gone for good. Some days it results in purchasing supplies for multiple creative craft projects that will then sit either half finished or not started at all. Right now I have canvas on my desk for a painting, resin for a resin pour project I want to start, and behind my desk hangs about 10 sun catchers made with crystals, shells and sea glass I’ve collected from the beach. I’ve got plans! Lots of them. But one caffeine fueled day I decided I was going ..read more

For Alice and Ned’s engagement session at Portland Headlight we brought it back to where it all started. Ned proposed along the paths with the lighthouse in the background so when we were discussing location options for their engagement session there was no question. We were going to Portland Headlight! I absolutely love afternoons/early evenings in Fort Williams Park because there are just so many options for capturing beautiful scenery and lighting. Nearly everywhere you turn, if you know what to look for, you can find the best dappled light coming through the trees along with the softest li ..read more
