Name: Rev. Sass Adams Year of ordination/graduation: 2022 Tell us a little bit about yourself: Current Exec Director of OSMIC, living in Portsmouth. What inspired you to pursue training with OneSpirit? I have always been fascinated by religions, I think in part as a seeker trying to understand myself and my place in the world. I first met a Onespirit minister in 2002/2003 as an undergraduate studying Religious Studies. “A Dark Cloud Over Uganda”Written by OneSpirit Interfaith Minister, Rev T…   I often have what may seem like a contradictory some might say warped visual, which I sometimes am found to express in an emoji of a rainbow with a bomb. I feel there are times when someone or something needs a radical explosion of rainbow colour at a time of darkness. Like now, as the rainbows rise over Proud Days in England, Uganda plunges into darkness. How can this be in 2023!!! Last month I wrote a piece about one fragmental part of my individual struggle, to emphasize that within our community, no two stor ..read more

“Just Kiss and Makeup”Written by OneSpirit Interfaith Minister, Rev T…   I am sure it's not just me. When Easter arrives each year. I can’t help but feel somewhat provoked by the language of Easter as well as the symbolism of the narratives. And how all of these could be used in more recent times to describe and symbolise a person's struggle with their own identity. Having always had a fascination with words double meaning, innuendo, and double entendre. Words such as" crucifixion, 'resurrection', second coming ‘symbolisation and accounts such as 'Jesus rose from the tomb.’ Even if we l ..read more

“Finding Hope on Earth Day 2023”Written by OneSpirit Core Tutor, Sarah MacDonald…   I shall be in London on Earth Day, outside Parliament with thousands of others in fancy dress and masks, carrying pictures and placards of every kind of animal on Earth. It will be loud, vibrant, happy, colourful; filled with all kinds of people moving like starlings, together and apart, individuals and families and community. It will be a lot of fun. We will be filled with hope. Especially if it’s sunny. It’s not always like that.  Hope can be fickle, raised with this newspaper ar ..read more
