Before I became a true believer in God, I would consider the significance of the Jewish New Year, what we call Rosh HaShana (even though it is the 7th month).  What is important to us as Jews, and new years in general, also on Gentile calendars?  Someone is watching over us and preserving us.  Another year of life.  I thank God our Father and our Lord Yeshua the Messiah that He is the Watcher over Israel, and the Preserver of our souls!  Because He is, our lives are dependent upon Him. Lk 2:21-23; Lev 12:6-8    Joseph and Mary dedicated their baby son, Y ..read more

YouTube video from Mar 22, “Purim is Still On-going”:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIesbmEHBa0   Today is the 168th of the war in Gaza, and of the nightmarish captivity of still 134 Israeli, mostly Jewish, hostages.  Their families also live the nightmare daily, whether they sleep or whether they are awake.  Israel did not begin this war, yet most of “the world” is telling Israel not to win the war.  Thank-God, the day will come when Jesus/Yeshua will Himself come to fully defeat His enemies, and the enemies of His people.  What will “the world” be saying ..read more

Is 54:4-8   “Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed; neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame; for you will forget the shame of your youth, and will not remember the reproach of your widowhood anymore.  For your Maker is your Husband; YHVH of Hosts is His name; and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole Earth!  For YHVH has called you like a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, like a youthful wife when you were refused,” says your God.  “For a mere moment I have forsaken you, but with great merci ..read more

YouTube video:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vm3BlNR3nis  Today is the 116th day of the war of Israel against Hamas in Gaza.  I had to do military training in the US army not too long before the end of the draft for the Vietnam War.  In Israel, I was also called up for military training, but I believed that God had led me to refuse to carry a weapon.  I asked the IDF if there was some way for me to obey and serve both God and Israel in the military, without a weapon.  The New Testament tells us to submit to the authorities, unless they require us to disobey the ..read more

The Son of God Was Born!

Before I was a believer, like most Jews, one of my objections to Jesus being the Messiah was that there is no peace.  We thought that the Messiah was supposed to bring peace to the world.  Now that I do believe that Jesus is the Messiah, I have peace!  I have peace with God, who says that Jesus is His Son, and the Holy Spirit in me bears witness to that truth.  Before, I did not believe that Jesus is the Son of God; and I did not have peace.  There is not peace in the world today, but increasing lawlessness and fear.  There is not peace in Israel today, but war, w ..read more

The Light That Shines in the Darkness

When God created the heavens and the Earth, the first thing that was seen only by Him is darkness.  On the first day, when He said, “Let there be light”, there was still the darkness, distinct from the light, and the light was “good”. (Gen 1:1-5; 2Cor 4:1-6)  Had any of the light entered the darkness, there would be no darkness; it would have been mixed, like dusk, or dawn.  God separates light from darkness; good from evil; clean/pure from unclean/impure; holy from common/profane; truth from any lie; Heaven from Hell.  This is His love and holiness, that nothing that is no ..read more

YouTube video:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wr6QrsbCCL8  This is the 52nd day of the war of Israel with Hamas, which Hamas (which is not a country, but rules the Gaza Strip, a political entity) started on Oct 7.  There is a “pause” in the fighting, as Hamas exploits Israel’s love of life, while Hamas says that it loves death even more.  Israel is putting at risk its war objectives to destroy the terrorist group and infrastructure in order to have all of the hostages released, on terms favorable to Hamas.  This mercy during wrath is a testimony of the God of Israel ..read more

Who Is The God of The Abrahamic Faith?

YouTube video:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zL9uFzAXmuY  We often hear about the three “Abrahamic faiths”:  that of the Jews, of the Christians, and of the Muslims.  Why?  Because they all profess to believe in only one God.  This has been called “monotheism”, which is said to have begun with Abraham.  This is what I learned growing up as a nice Jewish boy in America.  But is any of this true?! (Ja 2:19)  There is a spiritual battle in the heavenlies, and on the Earth, concerning the identity and true worship of the true God. The Jews are a peop ..read more
