Cj Albertson had a great performance at the Boston Marathon this year running a personal best time of 2:09:53 and placing 7th. This was his highest place in Boston yet and his fourth time running the race. He was also the top American finisher just two months after finishing 5th at the US Olympic Marathon Trials. I met Jackie Hoffman at the Chicago Marathon a few years back! I was so excited to learn about what he is doing with Peace Runners in Chicago. He is the president and founder of Peace Runners. Through his own transformation, his vision and inspiration for Peace Runners 773 were fostered. This was a 5 minute PR for Makenna. She was only 10 months postpartum at this race and still breastfeeding. This was her third marathon. Emily Sisson joins me on the podcast today to share all about her recent race at the Olympic Marathon Trials where she placed second and is heading to her second Olympics. So exciting!! Emily holds the American record in the marathon which is 2:18:29. She went into the Olympic Trials as the favorite to win this race and make the team.
