Deadman Foot Switches

I am not so slowly getting sucked into buying a new scroll saw with the Lumberjack SS533V in poll position. It does not come with a foot switch, something that I find so useful. So does anyone have an idea about deadman foot switches that would work with this? I also would like suggestions of other scroll saws that incorporate this feature. I currently use the Charnwood 16V which has one, but the limitations I am finding are table size and feeding for internal cuts. I have posted... Read more ..read more

Hi all, I can see this has been asked before, but being as i've had messages saying the site needs more content I thought I'd ask lol. I make terrain for tabletop gaming, and one of the issues I have is basing stuff, I was going down the laser route but thinking a scroll saw would be a better option. I was hoping for advice on choosing a saw? the material is fairly thin, say 2-3mm mdf/ply/hardboard etc Glued to the terrain, painted etc etc. That being said, having looked a little... Scheppach Deco SL Scroll Saw after market blade clamp?

Hi all, I recently picked up a Scheppach Deco SL Scroll Saw second hand, as has been noted else where on this forum feeding the blade through for internal fretwork is 'fiddly' to say the least. I recognise this is a entry level scroll saw but I picked it up for a bargain price so I can't complain (to much) but I was wondering if anyone was aware of an 'after market' blade clamp system or a DIY modification that would improve the situation ..read more

After promising to create a website for several years I can now announce that I have just published it on Google sites. The main purpose of the site is to record the History of the Hobbies and handicraft companies and fretworking in general. There are pages on various saws through the ages, plus help and advice on buying a saw and info on blades etc. I also have a designs page with old fretwork designs that I have recreated and redrawn in many cases so that people can download them (free)... Hello, I just got a used Titan scroll saw. Everything works fine except the fact that the blade is tilted left-right 3-4 milimeters. This makes it very hard to cut with. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Adrian ..read more

I have inherited an old Power Craft MQ50 11B 90W Scroll Saw. I realise its an old machine but still cuts fine, apart from the dust blowing function. The bellows are perished, so would like to replace and make up an adjustable pipe/hose. I have attached pictures of the old bellows. any ideas on where I can get a replacement or something similar? Many thanks, Terry ..read more

I am looking for a scroll saw and as only Axminster seems to be available at the moment I am between 2 of their models. one is AT460SS , the so called hegner clone and the other is AT406SS . The second one is over the budget, but seems to be preferred choice of the most. What is your opinion? I am new and it will be for occasional use, but want to have the joy of creating something ..read more
