Hey all, new guy here. My dad and I built a 440 about 20 years ago. Nice healthy motor, but the vehicle (66 coronet) was in a garage fire. Were not really sure where to start... The top end is aluminum, and the fire was hot enough to burn up the top rail of the radiator, so we're not sure if we should have them checked, leave alone, or just replace. By 1980 the name Super Bee was gone in the US. In Mexico it lasted a few more years. This is a 1980 model that is said to be restored. I think it is more that he made it nice. The 360 V8 has a few upgrades with the aluminum valve covers and intake manifold and the 4 barrel Holley carburetor. The car wears the special road wheels rarely seen in the US. this engine has been running great for 50k or so never an oil pressure problem. Recently idling after changing plugs and I started hearing valve noise, when I checked the pressure gauge, it had gone to 0, put on a mechanical gauge to the standard pressure port at the rear of the block and also 0, pulled off the gauge and QD from the hose and no oil. pulled the dist and intermediate shaft and put in a priming shaft, still no oil at hose. replaced the oil pump, old one appeared fine, and... 426W with 0 oil pressure ..read more
