On August 24th, 2022 Ted Johnson Propane was visited by the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Since I can remember my grandfather, Ted Johnson, has always opened our doors to the community. Ted wanted to show everyone how safe propane actually is with the right equipment in place. We hosted the fire department to show them our equipment, walk them through our safety procedures and, of course, have a little fun with our water cannons. We had our first company event since 2019 and it did not disappoint! We drove out to Thermal, CA to race on the BMW Performance Track in 111 degree weather. First, we ate lunch in their air-conditioned facility. Second, we took a short training class by one of their instructors. Finally, it was time to hit the track! We practiced whipping around a short course, then we drove a timed course, we hit a polished pad for some drifting and lastly, we drove with the instructors for a “hot lap”. They really showed us how it was done. Last, but not least, awards ceremony! The winner of the ..read more

And gasoline and diesel, too! Here’s why propane makes so much sense: whether you use it to heat water for your family, power a farm, or run a fleet of mowers, propane produces significantly fewer emissions than diesel, gasoline, or even electricity. Because propane is so efficient and because it’s employed directly at the point of use, it reduces emissions economically, too. Propane autogas, for example, reduces more emissions per dollar spent than any ..read more
