Oh hi, yes, just me again… with just another Hugo issue
So tonight, the little dude managed to get one of his puppy canine teeth stuck in the couch and he fell and snapped the tip off. You could tell he was uncomfortable, lip smacking and sneezing. So loaded him in the car and off to the emergency vet… they took him back so the vet could take a look before actually registering him, he was happy and wiggly and his usual self at this point, but you can definitely see red (I assume blood)...

Hello! Our 9month old pup, Tripp, has seem to develope this white spot on the inside corner of his eyelid and we wanted to see if anyone else’s dog had had this? We’re keeping a close watch on it as it seemed to pop up overnight.

So, back in the summer Cassie and I did a 4 week session of Dog Club at our wonderful local dog training school. I can't speak highly enough of them, they really are so good! We did scent club with them back last winter and while very good I felt we couldn't take it any further -- for one Cass wants to bring something back not just indicate the scent, and for another she actually got over stimulated by it I think, crying and whining in the car on the way home (not normal behaviour for her)...

My son moved to Germany in 2009. His first job was caring for a blind man who had a guide dog called Tatze.
He was home for the week in 2013 when we went to pick up our new puppy. On the way I said “you can choose the name, Pepper or Rosie?” Meaning I wanted him to decide one of those names. He said “Tatze”. So Tatze it was. It means “paw” in German.
Of course, I’m constantly having to explain her name and how to pronounce it! (Tats - er)
Ted’s name needs no explanation!

I was wondering if any of you thought there was a need for concern regarding the suggested link between grain free food and DCM? I’ve been looking for an alternative food to Royal Canin for Hunter. My local family pet shop has started to sell their own premium, grain free dog food which rates quite high on the All about dog food site. I like to support my local pet shop especially as after over 30 years a Pets at Home has been allowed to open just down the road from them. All about dog food...

The dogs have a toy box , thankfully they dont destroy them very often but I have been keeping one item in the greenhouse for safe keeping , I thought When Carbon visits , he goes straight for the fluffy chicken which I fetch out of said greenhouse for him, he adores it . However , we have had visitations in there, mice have decided it is a great place to live and yesterday , whilst loading up tubs of garden waste for the tip , I noticed poor chicken well nibbled and covered in...

I’m sure everyone can understand why I am FREAKING out right now. I have found a lump on Hugo’s back, an inch or so off to the side of his spine, I’ll post a photo for reference. I phoned the vet instantly and they are fitting us in tomorrow morning at 9:30. The receptionist who has been there forever, met Axel as a puppy and was there the day I said Goodbye Anyways, she said it’s quite normal for puppies to develop a lump where the injection site was a week or so after the injection...

Maxx is pretty bomb-proof and confident, except every now and then he gets the heebie-jeebies about a certain surface or area - namely:
1. If he has a slip on our wooden floorboards he might refuse to walk across that area for a while. We put down mats, encourage gently and the problem will be gone in a few days
2. A bit worse is the last few steps of our indoor carpeted stairs. He happily waddles down the first 10 to the landing but sometimes he then baulks against about going down the...
