As defending D3 champions, the Montclair State University Coed Cheer Team knew their competitors at the National Cheerleaders Association & National Dance Association College Nationals in Daytona Beach were gunning for them. They rose to the challenge, winning back-to-back championship titles in the Advanced Small Coed Division 3 competition and returned to Montclair with towering trophies to add to their collection. A new agreement between Montclair State University and pharmaceutical company Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) will help support the next generation of STEM scholars through exposure to and mentorship within the pharmaceutical industry. Hundreds of students, faculty and staff came together as a community to celebrate the eclipse on campus Monday, using safety solar eclipse classes, pinhole viewers and a telescope with special filters provided by the Physics and Astronomy Department.
