I've been getting into more aggressive off-road riding on my last few trips. And I'm looking in the next 18 months to do the full Transamerica Trail.
So I'm looking for recommendations for any of you that have upgraded your skid plate on the bottom of your Himalayan. Mine is the 2022 model.
If you've replaced yours, or research to doing so, or have any general knowledge, I would love to hear it.

hey all, new to motorcycles so this should be a pretty basic question but I’m trying to learn: Can someone explain why the 411cc engine isn’t quick? A Ninja has 399cc (less), but a ton more horsepower. Is it the compression ratio being lower in the Himalayan (and if so, why?)? Also what is the ethos behind an engine like this, like why did they make it so slow? I saw somewhere someone said it’s because it’s specifically made for higher altitudes and riding in low gears for long distances (adv riding), but just not sure what makes it so. Any insight/education is appreciated thanks! :)

Has anyone tried putting lower straighter handlebars on a Himalayan or scram 411. I love the vintage look but wish it was a little more cafe racer ish, less adv. been wondering if putting some straight handlebars on it would look good or if it’d look weird and most importantly mess up the physics of the bike. Thoughts?

Hi everyone, I have a 2021 Himalayan and am looking at ways to increase street performance without putting in a ridiculous amount of money or time. What are y’all’s opinion on 16t front sprocket or getting a slip on exhaust (prob lextek sa1), (idk if just pulling out the catalytic converter or baffle is also helpful for the stock exhaust but pretty sure that’s illegal right?), I’d prefer to not worry about putting in a performance camshaft cause that’s sounds like a pain and is expensive and messes with more of the engine. (Also forget big bore kits). Do you guys think changing the sprocket o ..read more

Riding through ice messed up my rear tire and probably need to replace the tube. Anyone know what size that’d be? For the stock tires

The bike won’t start if left for 2 days. Again I’ll recharge the battery and reconnect. This has been happening for a long time. Changed the regulator as per what the service center person told and they couldn’t find any other problems. Fuses are alright. I asked them if it has anything to do with the coil but they told battery is recharging and it’s perfectly alright but again after two days the charge was dropped and I couldn’t start. Is this a common issue? ( BS4 2018 )
