Headlight Bulbs 2008 GC CRD

Something weird just occurred. I needed to replace one of the LED bulbs in my low beam and my manual said 9006. My owners book said the same. They would not even fit into the hole. 9006 for low beam, 9005 for high beam, says the manual. Eventually I found that the existing bulb was H11. I know, it seems weird, but no way would a 9006 even go into the hole. Comments anyone? Or should I be farmed off to a retirement home ..read more

Dreaded Airbag Light/Chime and Clockspring replacement.

As above, had the dreaded chime and airbag light come on a couple of months ago... A quick scan revealed yes, the clock spring issue. After an ebay search I went with the $120 cheap Chinese option instead of the $600 Amercian version. I did see on here somewhere that a cheapy did fail in a month or so, but I thought Id give one a go (cheapskate). Most units for vehicles this age cross over multiple Chrysler models. Solved the chime every 20 seconds issue by removing the airbag fuse under the bonnet.... Finally got a spare few hours yesterday to do the install. After watching this https://w ..read more

WH passenger side no cold

I'm having an issue with my 2005 GC-L WH: the passenger side has NO cold at all(barely drops versus outside air, it comes out warm on a hot day), but the airflow is similar to the driver side. It does get heat, as switching the selector to high temp gets super toasty, so it goes from super hot to "ambient" temp. I took the glovebox out to check if the blend door shaft was broken as i've seen it googling but no, the plastic piece is solid, the servo moves freely AND i can move the blend door manually and freely with no resistance until it clunks on both ends of the travel. I turned on the AC ..read more

Hi all. I am better known in the WG section. I am thinking about moving my WG on and getting a WH 3.0 CRD. In WG 2.7 CRD land, we have the WJ Diag Pro software which can do everything from calibrating the speedometer to programming keys, as well as reading codes in almost every vehicle control module and programming injectors. What is used for the WH CRD? Second (lesser) question, how well does the cross axle clutch system in Quadra-Drive II work? Do all WH CRDs get it? Sent from my motorola edge 20 fusion using Tapatalk ..read more

Howdy folks, I have a 2005 GC with a 5.7 Hemi. It has a rust hole in the heater pipe that runs through the valley. I have removed the plenum and confirmed where the leak is coming from. Where would be the best place to get some new pipes and hoses? Thanks in advance Rob ..read more

Hi Lads. What is everyone using for power steering fluid in the WH CRD? The genuine Mopar MS10838 stuff is £50 a litre!!!! Does anyone know what the original Mopar stuff is? A bit like the transfer case stuff is Mobilfluid 424. I have been told it is just central hydraulic fluid. What are you lads using? Thanks ..read more

New Steering pump for GJC 2007 failed

I had a new genuine parts steering pump installed by a Jeep service station. Not only did it eventually fail completely within a few months, it blew hoses and the steering rack as well. I took it to my local steering and clutch specialist and they had it pressure tested - showed that the pressure settings had been wrongly set at manufacture. Has anyone else had this experience or any comment on the situation ? PS We used the correct Steering pump fluid ..read more
