My La125 is getting tired and I broke another spot on the deck. We have welded it in 3 different spots all which have held so far. This time, one of the free wheel pulleys ripped through the housing. Not sure how I managed that. So I started shopping that size again. I wanted an S240 with a 42" deck since I can get it in tight places. Ideally Id love an X570 with a 42" deck, but I also didn't want to spend a bunch since this is now my 4th mower added to the mix. Saw a few X380/390's. The... Welcome home X380 ..read more

S220 or X330 for property with a slope

Looking for a new mower for our new place, torn between either the S220 or the X330 new yard is only .56 acres maybe a little more but its got a decent slope to the yards. From what I could measure its about a 7.5% grade in the back and 8-9% grade in the front. My question is the TLT200 in the S220 going to hold up over 10yrs (goal min ownership) of at minimum weekly mowing or is the K46 in the X330 a better buy? I know the S240 has the K46 too but I figure if I NEED to spend the extra... S220 or X330 for property with a slope ..read more

G'day, Last fall timeframe - right before putting it away for storage, my X380 was having trouble starting. No crank. Gauge cluster would flash. No grinding noises. No nothing. Just hear the click of the relay and cluster flashing. Thought it was a bad battery (original from 2016). Replaced it. Started fine 2 times and then did the same. IF I put a charger pack on it, Vroom! Good to go. Shut it off.... no start once again. Instead of spending the time to troubleshoot it, I got it started... X380 no start ..read more

Rather new gasket but the clippings are escaping the hopper on the left side. Looks like a gap between the hopper and top. Any ideas about home remedies ..read more

L111 - low forward speed, normal reverse

Hi all, I recently had to move my L111 with the hydrostatic transmission back to the garage to work on an electrical issue. I did the repair and forgot to push the tow lever back to the "run" position before I started the engine. Not recalling that the tow lever was in tow position I stepped on the travel pedal to go forward. No movement of course. I realized I had forgot to put the lever in run, so I shut it off, moved the lever, and now it will only creep forward, but reverse is fine... L111 - low forward speed, normal reverse ..read more

Hi, This is my first post as i am the new proud owner of a 1994 ( I believe) John Deere 425 with all wheel steering with around 650 hours. I am looking for a pto kit, or at least some information about the kit. With a little research I have found that the BM18415 is the pto kit that fits john deere 4 series machines, but its for 1995 i think, and newer. I have found a new kit online for right around 800 dollars. What i have seen is the kit is the same, except for wiring, and the harness kit... John Deere 425 PTO ..read more

Right now I'm looking at a 2015 X570, with 54" mower and 44 blower for 11K... Garden Tractor for major snow blowing X570 enough ..read more

Does anyone know what the top filler port is used for in this Yanmar engine? My machine is a 2006 X740. I've changed the engine oil several times but have never used the top port. Not sure what the benefit is but would like to know. Below is a link to the manual. The top filler port can be seen on page 3 of the diagram: https://220v.com.ua/dok/Himoinsa/Yanmar%203TNV76.pdf ..read more

'99 JD LT155 - drive problems

My 1999 John Deere LT155 suddenly lost forward gear. I replaced the rear pulley over the transmission with no success. The tractor moves slowly forward with first 1"-2" of pedal travel and looses power as I continue to press the forward pedal. Do I need to replace drive belt, tension pulleys, springs? Is there an adjustment on the linkage to get full range of forward travel speed? Have watched far too many UTube videos to specifically diagnose and solve problem. Help ..read more
