Hey all! Finally getting an upgrade to a ride on after my neighbor couldn't be bothered to fix his lawn mower and put it at the end of my street (thank you kindly) - $60 bucks, some wire work and some googling, I have it up and running.
Question about the mower deck wheels - one of the front wheels is at a 45 degree angle, and there doesn't appear to be damage so I question... is this as designed? If so, why?

Hello, I have a Cub Cadet XT1 LT46. I accidentally hit a shrub and bent one of the mulching blades. I bought new from the Cub Cadet website, installed them, but now I have another problem. Whenever the blades are turned on, the blade will hit the deck by a few millimeters. If I readjust the blade, it'll make this awful noise.
Any suggestions to align the blade so it can spin correctly?

Cub Cadet 1000 with the 10 HP Kohler motor.
I'm trying to remove the seemingly pressed in ring in the center of the hub adapter there. I believe it's part #29 here:

Part #21 is already removed (it came out in several well-worn pieces).
Is that ring removable from the outside, and if so, any tips? I've tried a couple different pullers and the depth difference between the back edge of the ring and the large nut is so small, nothing I have can get in between.
I don't believe I can get a ..read more

I've got a 1965 model 70 with the old square timed blade deck. I hadn't used it for years but recently needed to put it back into service. I made one loop around the yard, one blade tapped one little rock and "tink" the spindle that blade was attached to broke and the blade/spindle end fell right off onto the ground. I've got the blade, the thing it's bolted to and the bottom bearing...
Dang, things had been going so well.
So I imagine I need a new spindle. I haven't had the old one apart yet but started looking for parts. What I've found is not promising. Anybody got some words of wisdom or ..read more

After comparing all the brands(Honda, Toro, etc) I decided the sc900 best suited my mowing needs and just went ahead and purchased. Needless to say I’m excited to get mowing.
This will be my first cub cadet mower. Does anyone have experience with model regarding anything I should be aware of for maintenance?

I have an XT1 LT42e that i purchased back in 2020. It has about 40 hours of total run on it (it spent more days in the shop than hours mowing). I have a couple acres to mow.
This year i managed to have a few runs but on the last one the motors shut off with Deck Motor Fault. Initially I assumed it may have overheated or the cables disconnected again from the vibrations (which happens regularly).
However each time I try to restart the blades, they just engage and within milliseconds they stop and I get the "Deck Motor Fault" again. I removed the deck, cleaned it, removed and cleaned the b ..read more

We have an a 10 acre parcel of land that is mostly treed, but it has about 1 acre yard that is clear, as well as some pretty nice trails cut through the trees. I have a 2022 XT2 LX42 that I use for the yard, and would like to keep the trails cut, mostly to keep the trees from growing in and taking over the trails. There's some hills though. I know too steep of a hill obviously can be dangerous, but will they also cause damage to the tractor or it's transmission etc? Some examples of the paths:
Edit - I don't know why Imgur is flagging it as possibly 18+ content lol.

Got my new xt1 46 inch. Amazing tractor for the price doing oil change at 5 hours. Also cleaning deck, and putting new 3 in one mulching blades. Got the mower cleaning deck. Heard of ballard mower magic. Holy smoke this stuff is awesome Cleaned my deck and melted grass clippings away. Also putting on 8Ten blades lawn razors. Heard they were the best. Gonna try them and do an update later. Anything else I need to do to my new cubcadet??
