I have a 3-year-old 30" 3X on the MA/NH border North of Worcester. First couple of seasons I was happy with it, but then started noticing how often I was breaking shear pins. Thanks to this forum, I went back to my dealer and bought some new/improved pins. But before I did that, I broke 3 pins. Hello, My snowblower gears seem off by 1. R2 gets me very slow reverse and R1 gets me very slow forward. I also don't think it is going all the way to 6th. On our last snowfall, I saw a black cotter pin on the ground right between the drive wheels, like it came off something inside the housing. A local guy is selling a 2X 524 SWE that he bought last year and said that he’s never even started it. I checked the serial number and the build date is June of 2015! It’s obvious that it’s never been used. Everything is clean, just dusty. The gas tank is bone dry. He has no clue how to even operate it. Should I be concerned? Hi all, New here.. Was gifted a cub cadet from the father in law... he bought it last year and said it never worked... first issue was a shear pin missing for the auger...
