New to forum. Looks like a great spot. Just acquired a CC 2166 that won't start with no spark. The shroud for the drive shaft appears to be preventing access to the mag. Do I have to pull engine off frame to gain access? Also Googles for wiring diagram and found one with # 515-266-7944 but don't see a spark plug. Are my eyes failing me faster than I thought? I have a Cub Cadet LT1045 mower. At the end of last season I mowed my yard, parked the tractor, and when I got back on it to pull it into my garage, it wouldn't start. No power, no lights on dash when I turned the key. First thing I did was check the battery, which has voltage. Fuse is good. I replaced to ignition switch and PTO switch out with no luck. Thanks in advance. So far, I've been throwing parts at it thinking it was something simple. I installed a new PTO switch and solenoid which didn't resolve the problem. Then I was able to hear a faint click up front near the clutch so I installed a new OX unit ($250) and the symptoms are the same. Hello all. I am in the market for a "new to me" used riding lawn/garden tractor. After experiencing breakdowns of my past two riding mowers, I am looking for something more robust. I have been combing through FB marketplace for older Cub Cadets. Picking are pretty slim in my area (Mid Atlantic Region). I live on an acre.
