The Enchanted Forest! I wanted this puzzle for such a long time! I loved the color, the whimsy, the magic! And it was out of stock for so long, I thought I would never have a chance to do it. I was so excited to get my hands on it, but for a while, I was lost as to how to complete it.    As with all JaCaRou puzzles, the pieces are thick and glossy. Great quality and no false fits. But wow, this was a challenge! This was another one where I just did not know where to start. This image is so full of rich and tiny detail. This is not a bad thing, just takes longer to find a strategy. I ..read more

My Awesome Collection 1989 Review by Mandy

An Aimee Stewart puzzle is kind of like comfort food. I reach for Aimee when I don’t know which puzzle to do next, or when I need something with color to brighten up the day. With the snowy weather we have seen lately, it was expected that I would grab this puzzle. It was happy and it was nostalgic. SOLD!     We all know that Aimee’s puzzles are filled with details. This was no different, and in my view, this was one of her busier ones. It sat on my table for quite a while, to be honest, because I just couldn’t sort it properly. It reminded me of her yard sale puzzle – and I thought ..read more

Cobble Hill is one of my favorite brands. I love the unique shape of the pieces and the matte linen-like finish. I have never found anything that compares. The downside for me is that I can’t always find an image that I like. There are a lot of birds and animals, and I am not a huge fan. However, they have a few artists that I really appreciate so I gravitate to those. Shelley Davies is the artist who created the Rainbow series of puzzles with all the amazing colors. She also created this one, which I completed for my daughter.    Can I say how much I love the new smaller box size? T ..read more

I tried something new! I had never been tempted to do a 3D puzzle before, until I saw this   I am a HUGE fan of FRIENDS, so I had to have it for my collection. Let me tell you what I thought. At any point in time, my table will have LEGO or a puzzle. I feel as if this was kind of a combination of the two. I had never seen a 3D puzzle unboxed, so I was shocked that the box was so light! I didn’t even realize it was made of foam. I was in a brand new territory!    Wrebbit 3D seems to be the leader in this space and I feel confident in saying that they know what they are doing. We are all familiar with the work of the delightful Aimee Stewart, but how many of you know of her husband Lars? He is a great puzzle artist too! I love puzzles that have food in the image and this one made me very hungry. This puzzle had a huge poster and very little puzzle dust. We were off to a great start. This was the usual Buffalo quality with thick and glossy pieces. It was the perfect balance of challenge and simplicity.   I started with the giant hamburger bun because completing that was quick, easy and it was simple to pull those pieces from the box. The only thing to be carefu ..read more

It has been a long time since I had a new Gibsons puzzle! Most of their images are English countryside, bright colors, or similar art. After a while, I felt as if they all looked the same. However, Gibsons has introduced some new style! Being the 80’s girl that I am, I was immediately drawn to this puzzle -  This image was filled with nostalgia! I had many of those items when I was young, so the puzzle made me smile. The slinky, the Nokia phone, the Cabbage Patch doll – AHHHHH! This was a great quality puzzle, with the same thick pieces and no puzzle dust! There were no false fits and th ..read more
