It is important to be ready when others ask questions, challenge your faith, or mock your beliefs. However, to “Always Be Ready” doesn’t always mean we defend...sometimes it means we counter by challenging someone or asking questions. of our own. In many cases a good question or direction to go answer their own question is the best defense. The theme for Evangelism University this year was “Plus One”. The question discussed, pondered, and provoked all weekend was, who will be your plus one pertaining to the Kingdom of God. PROVERBS 22:6 RE-EXAMINED: with Wes McAdams “Train Up” Proverbs 22:6 begins with the Hebrew word, “hanak.” This word appears in three other verses in the Old Testament (Deuteronomy 20:5; 1 Kings 8:63; 2 Chronicles 7:5). Obedience is simple…but we complicate it Jesus said you can’t serve two masters (Matt 6:24), but it doesn’t stop many from trying. In the book of Joshua we see an example of just that, and hopefully it teaches us a lesson we can learn. It was no secret, Glory had been given to God, Joshua’s success came because he loved the Lord and obeyed His Word (1:7-8).
