In today's episode, we discuss roles and our identity. It's a topic that listeners have messaged us about but it's also one that feels very relevant to Shelby and myself right now. We want to be faithful in the roles that God has entrusted to us, but we also don't want to find our primary identity in them. We attempt to untangle some of the complexities as we look to our identity in Christ and see what God's Word has to say about who we are as believers.

Your story may be one of faithful Christian parents that brought you up in the ways of the Lord. Your story may be one of wandering. On today’s podcast episode, Gary Thomas talks to us about how to determine if the difficult people in our lives are toxic people and what to do if we discover they are toxic. Toxic is a cultural buzzword when it comes to relationships, but Gary doesn’t allow culture to define this word. Instead, he uses Scripture to explain to us the traits of a toxic person and relationship. He also shows us how Jesus handled difficult and toxic people.
