There's not really much to set up when first opening Final Cut Pro. Yes, there are a few preferences and you'll probably need to work out if you want your media inside or out of the Library. Exporting burnt-in captions from Final Cut Pro X is easy, but the process isn't immediately obvious. In this tutorial below we show the steps needed to export burnt-in captions from FCPX. The Magnetic Timeline in Final Cut Pro X is great and speeds up editing. One downside is that you can't apply audio fades between two clips. Dragging the handles out on each clip is fiddly and tiresome. There has to be a better way. In this new Final Cut Pro X tutorial, we find out how to make a 'global switch' that can turn motion blur on and off with a click. Adding motion blur to effects in Final Cut Pro X is great. It adds a lot of style and certainly helps make movement a lot more realistic.
