Which do you use within you chest workout, you might even use both. For the last couple of years iv struggled to enjoy dumbbell chest press, was used to lifting 32kg 3 set of 12, now today iv struggled to press close to that at 28kg 2 sets then did two sets of 26kg. Iv noticed most vloggers on youtube don’t do dumbbell press they just seem to do a machine press. Is there much difference for contraption. Temped just to switch out dumbbell press for the smith machine press, is one a better... Dumbbell chest press or/vs smith machine ..read more

Powerlifters train for strength through a combination of specific training techniques and programming. Maskura Fitness explores some key aspects of powerlifting training for strength: Progressive Overload: Powerlifters focus on progressively increasing the load or resistance over time. This means gradually adding weight to their lifts to continually challenge their muscles and stimulate strength gains. Compound Lifts: Powerlifting primarily revolves around... Looking for a good squat routine that will help gain mass. Got my routine pretty much nailed down but keep going back and forth with what I’m doing on my leg day. I do a bro split so legs get hit once a week, I’m more of a volume bloke for most lifts but squats I find I’m best 8-10 ish but happy to go more for hypertrophy. Currently if I squat I do 3-4 sets of normally 8-12 reps and just add weight as things progress. If anyone can give me a steer to look at a squat routine so I can build... I can't train lower body due to multiple herniations and after years of trying to come back to them I have finally decided to call it quits and just train my upper body and do cardio. Came across people in similar situations and also disabled guys who have forgone lower body stuff and a popular program seems to be the base method. Its basically a 4 days on 1 day off system where you do the following: Day 1: Weighted Chinups/Weighted Pullups Day 2: Weighted Dips/Weighted Handstand-Pushups... Hey folks, just planning next week, quick question.. (The session I’m planning is high weight low rep strength focussed) Q. If I have 3 angles of bench Chest Press I want to do, and if I’m doing 6 sets, is it more effective to do 2 sets each of each angle (flat, incline, reverse incline), or 6 sets of 1 angle and alternate them over the course of 3 weeks? My instincts I’m building from the shit I’m learning is focus on one each week to max hypertrophy and strength... Question about exercise order for best strength gains ..read more

Hi lads, I have decent training equipment at home so for my upcoming cycle I cannot justify paying the cost of the local gym (€57.50 pm plus a joining fee) The equipment I have is a power rack, multi bench, 150kg of plates, dip bars, pull up bars, barbell, dumbells, ez - curl bar and I'm after getting a pulley system for the rack with a triceps rope and handle for rows, a landmine added to the rack with a t-bar handle for my barbell, squat wedges for atg squats and calf raises I think... Background: I’ve discovered that according to “strength level” .com my triceps are “advanced-elite” level strength in the female category.. I’m sure it’s from my poi and meteor spinning.. it’s so weird considering my biceps are “novice” !! Q: What are strong triceps good for? and, are there any tricep using exercises for other muscle groups that having strong triceps would help to build? As in, is there some way I could use this quirk to my advantage... Quick tricep question ..read more

Hey gang, I’ve got a small (measurement wise not fat wise lol) body and proportionally speaking long femurs/legs in general. This means squatting is harder of course. Aside from “do more squats” are there any targeted exercises or lifts I can do that would help build my femur or whatever else is needed strength to improve my squat practice? Cheers all ..read more
