Many folks that I know hate the Presidential Dollars series. Given that Congress will continue with the series based upon the false presumption that someone wants them, I find many of the coins attractive and interesting to have. For example, Abraham Lincoln. He's a hero of mine. Sure he's on the Lincoln Cent and the Illinois Commemorative and the $5 bill and... the list is long and a good subject for another thread.
Here's the Lincoln Presidential Dollar from my collection. I like it.

So I recently acquired two Kennedy 50 cent pieces, both of which have stamps on the face with the letters "DCM" on the right side and there is a number (20 and 69) on the left side of the face. I have no idea what these letters and numbers mean. Has anyone come across anything like this before? I will try to post pictures later ..read more

The right decade can be a subjective matter and may vary depending on various factors. However, I can provide some insight into popular decades among coin collectors based on historical trends up to my last update .
Late 19th to Early 20th Century (1880s-1920s): This period is considered significant for coin collectors due to the introduction of various iconic and historical coins. For example, the Morgan Silver Dollar (1878-1921) and the Indian Head Penny (1859-1909) are highly sought-after coins from this era.
Mid-20th Century (1940s-1960s): During this period, several interesting and iconic ..read more

It's exciting to introduce myself here and share what I'm doing! So, currently, I'm building a tool to help numismatists around the globe save time and gain a better awareness of their hobby.
I’m not a PRO collector, but for the last 8 years, even an amateur guy like me always felt like something was wrong with numismatics. It has never been an easy one for me… And put bluntly – it feels like technology skippe ..read more

Hello everyone,
My sons and I found this 1942 wheat penny with no mint mark and what appears to be a U.S. Navy countermark on both sides. Can anyone offer up any history on this coin or it’s value? I have never seen something like it and we thought it was amazing. May have new coin collectors over here ..read more
