Hello everyone! I am in the process of resetting my 480 gallon peninsula system. I am setting the system up to be a "traditional" system (front viewing) instead of a peninsula. While I love reefs, this isn't a reef question but I hope you can indulge me, especially all you chemisits and others that under stand the following. I am hypercalcimic and creating kidney stones every 2 years (very painful each time). My stones are comprised of 50% Calcium Oxalate Dihydrate (Weddellite) 50% and Carbonate Apatite (Dahllite). About 3 months ago I got a Duncan and I noticed today the head is coming off. I spot feed them and they love it and are always open. Even the one with the head coming off. The tank has gone to some parameter changes as I been really working on my dosing and kinda micro managing element but not moving stuff or adding equipment. Thought I’d share. Backstory, I turn my RODI off by stopping flow through the system between the membrane and DI. RODI system has been off. Went down the basement and booster pump making all kinds of noise. Pressure gauge on the unit at zero. What the heck. Open the TDS creep valve, pressure goes up to 10.
