Will trade corals or pay cash. Otherwise, any recommendations for purchasing from online vendors? Any leads appreciated. Thanks Kevin ..read more

Inexpensive timer with lots of applications...like a "safety" for the ATO
Austin Reef Club
by
2w ago
I read somewhere at some point in the past about a fella suggesting putting an ATO on a timer to help mitigate against runaway fills on a stuck switch. It seemed interesting but I never put it into the rotation...till now. I hope you find this useful ? These are super inexpensive and so useful in so many ways. The one I will LINK here is just one physical format option of many and the one I will be talking about today. Almost all of them are on a standard protocol these days but you basically just need to see it say Google, Alexa and/or SmartThings and you will be on the common protocol and yo ..read more

Blue Zaire Frontosa Kampampa
Austin Reef Club
by

I'm offering to sell/trade to a good home a ~2 year old tank raised Zaire Frontosa (or Gibberosa) Kampama collection region (similar if not identical to Moba). I believe he is a male, but not 100% sure. He is about 3.5 - 4" long, great color, bars are solid. I acquired him from my cousin who bought a group of Kampama frontosas from Lone Star Exotics a couple of years ago at the same time as I did. My cousin decided to go a different direction with his aquarium so I added this one and others to my colony. Well unfortunately this one wasn't welcome in my colony and he had a rough first night (wh ..read more

Wife says I have too many tanks so there's no more room for this one. Someone come get this tank out of my house so my wife will let me back in the house to enjoy my other tanks. Tank was drilled to run inline with my main display for ~5 years and was removed and cleaned today. For Sale: Coralife BioCube 29. - $200. Drilled with bulkheads for inlet and overflow in the back. No leaks or scratches. Stand and lid included. The lid has the RapidLED Conversion with extra leds and printed instructions. I cannot guarantee the LEDs work because I never set them up. I removed the lid and used a program ..read more

Free Red Sea 750
Austin Reef Club

I'm picking up a Red Sea 750 and need to find a home for it (assuming I don't drop it ? ). It will only be the tank, stand, Red Sea filter and plumbing. It is free. No lights or other accessories. System was running for over a decade until the ice storm last year when everything was lost. The owner has been debating about setting it back up but is now moving out of town and has decided to let it go. It has been emptied and cleaned and is ready to be filled and started. You can pick it up at my shop this afternoon (03-27) at the earliest or I can deliver it for $200 (does not include moving it ..read more

Livestock for sale - Fish
Austin Reef Club
by

In preparing for a big move, I have made the very tough decision to sell my aquarium, equipment, and Livestock. I will have a separate post for the equipment coming soon, as well as a coral for sale post. These are the fish I have for sale (and shrimp). All of my fish are very healthy, and in most cases, I purchased them when they were small and they have matured in my system. I've also included the timeframe these animals have been in my tank, you can see they are all very well acclimated to aquarium life. They have been fed, frozen food, seaweed, and pellets. In most cases, they all readily ..read more

Sand in Chalice
Austin Reef Club

So, Every morning, I notice that my Hollywood Stunner has about 1/2 a teaspoon of sand and or gravel in it. Something is filling the cup up. I don't have crazy flow stirring up the sand bed, so something or things, are putting sand in the chalice. It is not directly on the sand bed either, and its edges curve upwards. Who is the cuprit? A snail? A fish (blenny) or something else? Seems like an odd thing to do... My plating monti does not get these deposits. Something likes the HS ..read more

Green Birds nest for sale
Austin Reef Club

I've seen it called Aourt Apple Birds Nest, Toxis Green... you can call it what you'd like once it's in your TANK I have a huge colony that is taking up too much space and shading other corals. Currently, I have 3 pretty good-sized "frags" 4 to 5 inches across, and I need to cut a good bit more. The large pieces I'm asking $25. I'll cut as much as people would like, starting at $10 for a generous piece and we can go from there. The entire colon is probably 2+ feet across, want the entire thing? I'd be open to discussing that. I'm open to trades, and feel free to make an offer I can't refuse I ..read more
