Same deal as yesterday my friends – glanced through, not seeing anything betting wise. If you want me to glance through the metrics or thoughts on any game, just post in the comments. And if you’re making bets, be sure to post them in the comments. My last day of the regular season. See you all in the playoffs. No picks yesterday, which was a good thing. The Coyotes/Oilers over had peaked my interest, and if it was 6 I probably would have went with it. Thankfully it was 6.5 and I stayed away, and that game went under with 5. Canes covered the handicap, and big wins for the Knights, Flames and Preds. It’s the last Saturday of the regular season. And you know what? I’ve went through all these games, and absolutely nothing is standing out for me. I don’t even really see the point in writing anything. If there’s a particular game you want me to dive into the metrics for and give an opinion, feel free to ..read more

0-1 last night, as the Penguins got the job done, but not in regulation. We did get our moneys worth from that bet though from an entertainment perspective I’d say. It was a thrilling game which unfortunately saw the Penguins blow a two goal lead late in the third. What an impressive comeback that was from the Red Wings. I’m hoping Xander mounts a similar comeback today in the Masters. Honestly hard to see past Scottie there. But he was completely unbettable at 4/1. Stupid odds. 5 games on Friday. Let’s see what we got. Blues vs Hurricanes: Blues actually fighting a bit lately. Granted its opp ..read more

The regular season is winding down, and this is now my last few days of tipping the regular season. I’m here Thursday through Sunday, then Scott will carry us to the end of the season. If you’re not familiar with it – for the playoffs, we both give our individual opinions. We’ll cover each series, and then each Game 2 onwards. I always enjoy it as it’s less about stats and metrics, and more about watching hockey and making decisions based on that. At least this time of the year is easy – so many games it’s easy not to touch. I’m more interested in The Masters this weekend anyway. Let’s look at ..read more

A pile of games yesterday.  And some big things happened in the history books too. The Leafs beat the Devils 5-2 and Matthews scored his 66th goal of the season which is incredible.  Lemieux was the last player to hit this number back in 1995-96.  The Caps beat the Wings 2-1 and Ovechkin scored and became the first played in NHL history to score at least 30 goals in 18 seasons.  Also incredible.  This was a big loss for the Wings who are now in 9th. The Canes beat the Bruins 4-1,  the Habs beat the Flyers 9-3 and for the Flyers to now lose 8 in a row and to get de ..read more

Only 2 games yesterday. The Penguins vs Leafs game was a good one.  The Leafs won 3-2 in overtime but the Pens managed to pick up a point in the loss and are tied for points with the 8th place Wings.  Matthews scored his 65th goal and became the first player to do so since Ovechkin did it in 2007-08. The Knights vs Canucks game was another good one.  Eichel got the Knights on the board first scoring twice in the first 8 minutes of the game but the Canucks tied it before the end of the period.  In the end the Canucks won 4-3 and now have a 5 point lead over the Oilers for 1s ..read more

9 games yesterday. The Stars beat the Avalanche 7-4 to widen their gap for top spot in the Central.  They now have a 5 point lead.  The Blues beat the Ducks 6-5 in a shootout and are in 9th and 5 points back.  The Rangers beat the Habs and now have a 3 point lead over the Stars for top spot in the league. The Wings beat the Sabres 3-1, the Sens beat the Caps 3-2 in overtime, the Preds beat the Devils 3-2 in a shootout and the Canes shutout the Jackets 3-0.  It’s going to be a fight in the East.  I love it!  Only 2 tonight. A winning night yesterday which puts me on a nice 8-2 run since the beginning of March. March/April are periods I find tricky betting, even moreso with me being away for a large majority of it, so that is pretty darn awesome. And that’s following my 10-1 streak to begin 2024. It’s been a great season. Yestersdays win was the Lightning/Penguins over and that came in nice and easy. Set at 6, that was a 9 goal thriller with a fantastic comeback by Tampa who then blew it. Big upset as the Blackhawks defeated the Stars. Looking back at my write-ups, no other big surprises. Disappointing one from th ..read more

Whew – feel like I dodged a bullet yesterday with those Knights. The Coyotes goalscoring team came to town, and went ballistic on Vegas. Red Wings offense got going but they had their own goaltending issues, and Rangers came out with the win. It’s Saturday. Usual fair amount of games. Let’s get right into it and the usual disclaimer that at this point in the season, expect a real lack of write-ups. Only if a game on first glance peaks my interest will I write more as I go through it. Penguins vs Lightning: Two teams playing well. Hard to really separate them actually. Odds are close to 50/50 w ..read more

A six pack of games today, as we enter the final two weeks of the season. The majority of teams are already in, with only a couple of spots left. Today we have a couple of teams vying for spots playing, such as the Flyers, Wings and Caps. Yesterday saw both the Flames and Habs officially eliminated. No surprise about the Habs of course, and I think that team has a lot of potential. Really hope Dach returns nice and healthy. I’m happy with the rebuild, and Slafkovsky is looking fantastic and I’m really excited by him. Let’s look at todays games: Wings vs Rangers: I mean yeah it’s a must-win gam ..read more
