So aside from the Indians, what civ would you all suggest for wood generation? Malta has an Age 1 card (... Gardens) that lets them convert food into wood. As well as an Age 4 card (Shipping Supplies) that's worth 2k wood the first time it's sent, then a lesser amount. Germany has access to Settler Wagons which are theoretically 2 villagers in one. So perhaps their faster gathering speed justifies wood-cutting, if, you can protect them.
