Can anyone point me to any contract provision, manual, handbook, memorandum, etc that dictates ANYTHING about amazon sundays? i can’t find shit. nothing about schedules, delivery guidelines, operating procedures, where i can take my lunch, etc. we fucking have handbooks that tell you EXACTLY how to case letters and flats (The addressee's name is read only when the street address triggers a recall of a change of address, special instructions, etc.) but we don’t have anything on sundays? i’m surprised that the proper procedure for wiping our asses isn’t outlined in the m-39. i must be missing s ..read more

I'm a PSE at a plant. Can never find an easy way to find out my schedule. We have more than enough pses on my tour so we're currently split weeks. Half work one week and the the other half the next and repeat. Due to that our sched. aren't done on a weekly basis. They seem to play it by ear and do them when they can/or just verbally tell us. First time this happened they said they'll call/text when our next shift to report is but they never do. It's always me calling them (and the only number I was given was a customer service line) and it takes a while to get transferred to the right person ..read more

Could the reason for such infamously bad managers be due to the Peter principle?

As the wiki link says. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_principle Basically people that are amazing carriers get promoted to completely different jobs that needs completely different skills. Just an interesting theory imo. submitted by /u/Government-Monkey [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Within the next year I'm hoping to move and apply at a station where the surrounding population is a whopping 600. I've read through a lot of threads and have found that most people tolerate their position but very few love it. Most people claim that the balance between work and life is poor but I don't plan on bringing anything with me other than a travel trailer to stay in so I feel like that qualification is met. Everyone in here, whether they knew it or not, has given great advice and helped me partially understand what I could be getting myself into. I just have a couple of gray areas th ..read more

Postal mail in China

I am staying with relatives in China and asked where they receive letters. They have lockers for packages but do not have mailboxes for letters. They receive so few letters that the mail carriers call them and arrange in person delivery. Packages are delivered to the lockers, and they receive notice of delivery on their phone. All carriers deliver to the shared lockers and not just China Post. submitted by /u/corky63 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Just got back from my 5 day break. I missed the window to enroll in insurance after I stared and during open season last year, but thought I could after my reappointment. Running into some hurdles... Is reappointment after your break not a "Qualifying Life Event"? submitted by /u/Opus_Jack [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Customer Loves His Parcels

I have one customer on my route who started getting parcels daily five months ago. In the four years I've been on my route I never delivered anything to him. Then suddenly...BAM! The flood gates opened up. In the past few weeks it's about 10-15 per day. His high number was 32 but it's never anything under 10. It's a double edged sword because obviously it's a pain in the dick to keep having to go back and forth to the truck and since he's near the end of my route I have to carry these boxes all day long. On the plus side I'm rural so this really helps my eval especially the trip to door scan ..read more

Can we talk about the price of outer wear?

Can we get away with wearing non postal official rain gear? Cause this is out of control. Seems like it'll take you 10 years of allowances to get the outfits you need for a couple different seasons. How can they justify these prices? Close to $200 for just a hood attachment? WTF!!! submitted by /u/BeerusGOW [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
