I was not originally going to watch this one. Even though I like the leads and at first was excited for their first lead roles, the pace of subtitles and even the plot didn’t, at first, draw me in. Then a few weeks into it, I began to see a good handful of people say how original this script was and how underpraised it was getting so I decided to binge it. I was really excited for this drama when it was announced. I’ll admit, I’m not a huge Hong sisters fan. Only because the couple of dramas of theirs that I have sat through turned out to have lame endings. But I will still recognize their talent when it comes to how they tell their stories and how they shoot their scenes. Hotel Del Luna stars two of my favorite actors. Let me start off by saying this drama is the one to beat in 2020. I have seen some pretty amazing dramas this year, few but still amazing, but nothing like this one. The visuals, the editing, the storytelling and the chemistry, man the chemistry… It was all executed so well and I was very entranced by it all.
