Has Summer ever arrived… YET! What an absolute washout July and August has been this year. It was cold and wet for most of the anticipated summer months, funnily we bought a cold air blower last year, we only used it during September and the late heatwave we experienced then! My father’s brother was one of the world’s leading Astrologers, a gentleman called Patric Walker, who’s daily column was read by over a billion people worldwide. Autumn has definitely arrived here at Holly Lodge, the leaves on the lawn are a bit of a giveaway! During the summer, we constructed a rose arbour in the middle of the garden, surprisingly a “Triffid” type shoot appeared from the bottom of the plant and has produced the most stunning display of roses in late October! Andrew has made the decision to take early retirement this year and YES… run a Bed and Breakfast! Spring has “sprung” closely followed by summer here at Holly Lodge and the unbelievable hot spell with record breaking temperatures here in Swaffham. Well, our wonderful news is the announcement of the birth of our second grandchild! Ellis George Walker bounced into this world on 16th March 2022, he and his parents are extremely well! We also have a family wedding to attend, Daniel our oldest son is getting married to the lovely Milly. We had our first wedding guests of the season too.
