Does anyone have suggestions for tools I should have on hand, to use with my Avata? I recently purchased the FPV Remote Controller 2. I know there is a way to adjust the joystick tension and a specific tool for it. Before I buy the 1.5mm hex driver, what else should I consider getting for my tool bag? Is there a different tool that will be needed to use when replacing propellers? Thank you in advance for your suggestions ..read more

Hi I fly a P3s with a parabolic antenna about 2 miles out over the mountains. Relative to the takeoff point altitudes can reach 800-1200 ft as the terrain varies. My return to home is set at 300 ft for level terrain flying. If I lose RC signal behind a peak at say 800ft will RTH drop me down to 300ft and crash into the mountain returning? Or will it just come home at the altitude signal was lost? I thought best to ask before I get into the situation. Thanks ..read more

My name is Shawn. I am interested in communicating with others who fly a DJI Avata, to exchange tips & tricks, accessory recommendations, or anything that will help with shooting and editing video and the like. I recently received an Avata as a gift and I am hooked on it (here you go kid, the first hit's free). I already spent over $500 on additional accessories and have another $500 in the queue at Amazon. I have watched hours of YouTube videos to learn more, and I just want to know others... Read more ..read more

Greetings.. I have been searching. I would like to get the camera back for my phantom. I think FPV is the best thing to do with a HERO 3. Looking for a 2.4 Receiving monitor - not finding one that I can install on my controller. Would love to hardwire, but I don't think its possible. Can anybody help me? would be great to have a gimbal to but, I am not going to get greedy. Thanks in advance ..read more

FPV general question

I'm curious to try FPV with iPhone goggles using Litchi, but I'm a bit apprehensive over not being able to access screen settings while flying, or not have the ability to quickly close out of Litchi and reload if things were to freeze up, etc. I'm wondering if that is an issue for those using goggles. I have an underwater drone that came with a headset that accommodates an iPhone, and the nice thing about this headset is it has a magnetic front cover that can be removed which exposes the... Some guidance needed, should I get the DJI FPV Goggles?

I use the Epson BT-300 all the time and they are brilliant. However I often get home and I have missed a shoal of fish, a dolphin or people walking. I still want to use the glasses but I am considering buying the DJI FVP Goggles. I don't need the racing ones I can hardly coordinate walking never mind the crazy speeds racing drones do. I mostly do slow stuff and even the fastest stuff I do I have found the BT good enough. Through an insurance claim I have $350 AU left on the claim. In Aus... Read more ..read more
