Recently, PJ Library hosted “Passover: The Story-telling Passover Experience.” Children and their families enjoyed traditional storybooks and learned that the power of the Passover story could be told in multiple ways as well as in music and in art by creating Passover inspiration jars. Fred Neulander dies in prison at 82

By ANDREW SILOW-CARROLL JTA Fred Neulander, a local rabbi serving a life sentence for hiring hit men to murder his wife Carol in 1994, has died in prison. He was 82. The New Jersey Department of Corrections website lists Neulander as deceased and says his “date out of custody” was Thursday. Local news outlets are reporting that Neulander was found unresponsive in a prison infirmary and pronounced dead on Wednesday.   Several years ago, the JCRC’s Raab/Goodwin Center and Jewish Family & Children’s Service (JFCS) partnered to plant hundreds of daffodil bulbs through the International Daffodil Project, which aspires to build a worldwide Living Holocaust Memorial by planting 1.5-million daffodils in memory of the children who perished in the Holocaust.
