I've been using a K40 laser engraver and recently got curious about the model name. We're all familiar with the "40" referring to the 40-watt power of the laser tube, but does anyone know what the "K" stands for? Has anyone here got more insights or information about this? Maybe something historical or from the manufacturers themselves? I'd love to get to the bottom of this. Greetings! I just tried contacting the Manufacturer of my Machine about this but the results were kinda mixed due to the unavailability of the used Product in my region. Essentially my Laser Cutters Cooling Fluid has evaporated enough to foam up in the cooling loop ( Pump probably beating a mix of Liquid and Air ) thus being in need of topping up. Support told me to get PEAK Antifreeze + Coolant Prediluted 50/50 which isn't a brand available in my region. I'd rather not try my luck with mixing in a different Brand leaving me with the only option of either flushing the System ( which I expect ..read more

So, I was trying t replace the water hose on my laser tube and this end piece just sort of popped off. I guess the idea here is that it makes sure the business end of the tube is cool, but where it popped apart is just two smooth surfaces. In preview on lightburn, everything looks fine, but when I go to cut, it looks like there’s a vertical drift of some sort. This happened once and I tried tightening all the belts as much as I can. It seems to be happening in the same places as the first cut. I’m talking specifically about where the cuts should meet, but are not fully connected. The small rectangles should also be aligned on the y axis, but some sections are higher than the others. I’m using an Elegoo Phecda 10w(which might be the reason, because it’s their first engraver). I'm a fine jeweller and am on the hunt for a fiber laser to do some engraving on my jewelry pieces. I'll need something that can do tiny hallmarks on the inside of rings (gold and platinum) as well as deeper engraved designs on sterling silver (signet rings and pendants). I'm a complete newbie and this will be my first laser engraver! I'm hoping to not spend too much so right now I've been looking at either the Commarker B4 or the GWeike G2. Both are 20W.
