A friend asked me if I could engrave a set of handcuffs for him. Does anyone have any suggestions for getting a live view-type outline of the handcuffs uploaded into the xTool software so I can make a design to engrave/mark?

Good evening :) The lens on my LE-1 cracked and the case that holds it was damaged as well. Is there a place I can order replacement parts? I haven't been able to get a hold of customer service from Jiccoda. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It recently came to my attention that some special fiber lasers can actually create different shades of color on a metal. This opens up so many creative avenues in my head, and I'd love to invest on a laser that has such capability. However I have a couple of questions: How durable is such a color on a metal (assuming I have the right material for the job), and also can such color marking be achieved as a last pass over an already engraved surface that might have variations in height? Or is that impossible?

Hello all! Using a LaserPecker 2. How do I engrave a flask with the curvature? Everytime I do it either doesn’t engrave right or it fades.

Hello! I have a two trees tts 5.5w laser, just an amazon special. I am trying to figure out how to set the size of the marking area in LaserGRBL, but not having any luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I’m deciding between a 2D and a 2.5D 60W fiber laser. The main difference seems to be the control board/software (2D uses EZCAD2 while 2.5D uses EZCAD3). My understanding is that the 2.5D machine can control the Z axis through the software (meaning that it can engrave at varying heights in a single job), but it is not compatible with LightBurn.
I have projects that could benefit from automated height adjustments, but I was glad to move to LightBurn from EZCAD2 on previous laser machines. I would appreciate it if anyone could describe their experience with EZCAD3 and/or point out anything else ..read more

I may have a project that would call for marking on an 80+ year old bucksaw. Would Cermark (or similar) adhere to the old patina steel? grinding or polishing to expose clean steel is not an option.

Back in 2017 I purchased a mini laser engraver with the brand name "METERK" on the machine. However I believe it was really manufactured by NEJE. The driver and software I downloaded for it was a NEJE product and it worked fine. But, I have lost the original software and the newer versions of that same software is not backward compatible to my unit. I have searched and searched for older versions but can't find one that works.
I downloaded the trial version of Lightburn, and it connects to my engraver, but fails the verification step everytime. So, if anyone knows of a download site for legac ..read more
