Came across a good website for splitting the cost of various subscriptions. I signed up for IFit and it allows people share the cost by offering slots family profile. I have 3 slots available on my family account. I’m using the ‘spliiit’ platform. If interested check out the link https://app.spliiit.com/674a43330d0e9/ie Not looking to make any money on this, just split the cost to make it more affordable for anyone interested ..read more

I was looking up what is involved in becoming a fitness instructor/personal trainer and I see there are a lot of different groups offering different level certs (levels 3 or 4) backed by different orgs (e.g REPs, RQF, EQF etc). Is there one considered "the best"? I gather from one site that EQF level 4 is the basic requirement to be one in Ireland, but is that the standard level most trainers would be ..read more

HGH For Bodybuilding  Human Growth Hormone (HGH) is a naturally occurring hormone that is essential to human growth and the development of bodily structures. I'm thinking of getting a leg extension/leg curl for my home gym. Interested in this one from rock solid fitness: https://www.rocksolidfitness.ie/products/leg-extension-and-curl-machine Looks similar to one from mirafit but better price. What would the resistance profile be like on a machine like this, a bit concerned how much you will actually feel it. Also has anyone bought from this company before ..read more

Hello all. I have a steel shed so I'm not sure if fixing a chin up bar would be structural sound on the shed's structure, so I'm thinking of buying dip bars. I know they work different muscles but they should provide almost similar benefits. Anyone recommend if dip bars are worth the investment, any considerations, or tips on brands ..read more

I work in a multinational tech company and have volunteered to prepare a wellness and engagement session about saunas for my colleagues, a sort of sauna workshop. I was thinking of putting some slides on sauna benefits, something about sauna etiquette (towel, being naked, etc), perhaps some recommendation for places in Ireland... Does anyone have some other ideas about sub-topics for my presentation or perhaps some good links to websites? Thank you so much, very much appreciated! Leticia ..read more

Wrist straps

My grip is starting to give way on my deadlift so I'm looking for some wrist straps recommendations. I use chalk for my top sets but if I'm going for a 1+ set, once I get to around 6 reps I start to lose control of the bar and only manage to get a couple more reps. I looked a Versa Gripps (yes, I watch Dr. Mike) but to have them shipped from the US costs more than the straps themselves ..read more
