Join us December 10th between the hours of 8 am and 6 pm. The entrance will be in the rear, in our new addition. We're opening up our Honey House to shoppers! We're setting up a "pop up shop" in the honey house so you can browse all our items in person. Although you can still find our items in our roadside farmstand and pay using the honor system, our Holiday Open House will give you a chance to see many of the beeswax candles and gift boxes that are not always available in the farmstand. In lieu of cookies and cider, this year we are offering raffle prizes and guessing contests with the oppo ..read more

-Posted by Isaac Oops, Last week’s post had to come down. I told my friend…. sometimes we step in landmines. A bit too much objectifying… I tend to focus on the blog for my very best landmines. You get to watch! And, furthermore, let’s hold off on the nude pics for awhile. Brian Steed, I did have a logical response to your swarm issues. (And it was up approximately 24 hours.) I’ll just summarize: Don’t worry about swarming. If it’s a big healthy hive, pull a split off of it in April, then let nature take its course. Sometime’s they build fast enough to make another split in May. And sometimes ..read more

-Posted by Isaac There’s this Towns Van Zandt song I like. In that song, it goes, Bid the years good-bye you cannot still them You cannot turn the circles of the sun You cannot count the miles until you feel them… Man oh man, did I feel some miles that weekend. It was somewhat of an accident, really. I was supposed to be in Texas, but last minute I dropped, emailing the race director. They emailed back and said you can still do this thing! — Virtually. Just use your GPS watch. So I did. It was cold that Saturday. And I needed some help. My brother posted it to Facebook. The next day, I sort ..read more

We are once again participating in the Save Ohio Bees™ initiative. and now through June 26, 50% net proceeds of our products on the Marketplace help restore pollinator habitat and fund conservation programs with a matching gift from The ..read more

More barns on the move
Honeyrun Farm

A little less than a year ago Isaac shared the story of how his brother Justin and his wife Adrienne moved a neighbor’s old barn through the fields about a mile away to rest in a field next to their house. That blog post with videos can be found here. They plan to restore it and turn it into an airbnb vacation getaway. They had moved another old barn in a similar fashion in 2011, about 3/4 of a mile through a field and over dry run creek, and spent the next decade restoring it and turning it into an airbnb. You can view the airbnb listing here. While Williamsport, Ohio has never been a hot spo ..read more

-Posted by Isaac I do love you. Really, I do. Sorry it’s been so long. It’s been a special year. Bees and music. Maizy (above) was the workhorse on that awesome Bad to the Bone video blog in August. She’s just to my left, at present, practicing trumpet. We’ll be throwing notes in about an hour at the Christmas eve service. All’s well on Honeyrun Farm. We hope all’s well with you. Thanks so much for the love and support this year. Have a merry Christmas season, a happy winter, and cross your fingers for snow… Now Maizy roughs out a piece on the piano. Wow. The others are just lazy. ;) I’ve go ..read more
