Moonlight on steam deck - which steam input settings are used - client’s or host’s?

Hi all, Been searching for a clear answer on this but can’t find anything. I’m running moonlight on a docked steam deck, with ML added as a non steam app, and a dualshock 4 connected to the SD. In this scenario which steam input profile is used? Some more details: i can get it to work, the host machine recognizes the DS4. but i’m trying to set up gyro aim (for cyberpunk initially, but hopefully other shooters). I’ve got it set so the gyro only kicks in when i hold ADS, and this works too - but the input from the gyro is jittery af, like my hands are shaking. but if i attach the same controlle ..read more

Is it possible?

Is it possible to install moonlight on my laptop, stream my main pc to my laptop, then plug my laptop to a portable monitor and also plug in a controller to my laptop? Would this setup work?? Also, if anyone's wondering, is because of my laptop's resolution (1366 x 768) and low refresh rate (60hz). submitted by /u/holy-d-expensive [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Valorant works with VirtualHere on headless Sunshine-Moonlight-Mikes Virtual Display Adapter-Combo (Free!)

I got a bunch of headless PCs in my local LAN for gaming but wasn't able to play Valorant, 'cause its aggressive anticheat, which blocks the mouse input of Moonlight. Got it working by setting up VirtualHere to stream my mouse, which just worked. Thankfully this is all in the scope of the trial, even with multiple VirtualHere servers in one network, so no additional costs through this solution. submitted by /u/2jul [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hello! I’ve used lots of services in the past. And I’m looking for something new. I’m looking for either a Linux machine (vm of bare metal) or windows (bare metal) with a 4090 if possible. Thank you! submitted by /u/Mr_cheese_Toons_YT [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Is a anyone successfully using sunshine within a VM?

I've got a VM set up with windows 10 running in hyper V, and I can get parsec to work (so i know I've got the gpu shared and drivers set up correctly), but I'd rather use sunshine. I can run sunshine on the host, so I know it's not a problem with the way I set up sunshine. I've seen a lot of reccomendations to try various virtual monitor drivers, but none of them seem to work for sunshine, it keeps saying there is no video. Is anyone successfully running sunshine within a VM with a gpu shared, and if so, can you tell me what exactly you did? submitted by /u/Illeazar [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hey everyone! I’ll keep this short and simple - a friend and I are working on a cloud gaming-related project and wanted to do a survey to get some basic information. The survey is at - https://forms.gle/z8g8MFi8LCPusFWPA It’s completely anonymous and none of the questions are required. We’re doing this out of curiosity as much as to guide our project! The results spreadsheet is live at - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1R7aX8Qb3GCyXGIlY24Cto8XsQJs3W2dIaf-OyLmxUrI/edit?usp=sharing We’ll share a better interactive visualisation once we have enough results. Thanks for your time! submitte ..read more

Stream with Sunshine & Moonlight in ANY Resolution and Refresh Rate with HDR

Have an ultrawide monitor, but want to stream in a standard aspect ratio? No problem. Have a 1080p60 SDR monitor, but want to stream in 4k120 HDR? No problem. Don't have a monitor at all? Not a problem either. Don't want to buy a dummy HDMI or DP plug? You don't need one. Essentially what we will be doing is creating a virtual display with a customized resolution and refresh rate (up to 8K 240Hz or 4K 500Hz). We will then be using that virtual display to stream with Sunshine to a Moonlight device. I will also be adding some automation steps, such as launching our apps and switching to and f ..read more

Hey everybody, I am the product lead on Rackspace Spot. Spot leverages unused cloud server capacity in Rackspace and opens it up for new users as spot machines, at dramatically cheaper prices: https://spot.rackspace.com Rackspace Spot is a true market auction with all compute servers having a base price of $0.001/hr. That's a reserve price of $0.70/mo. Machines are auctioned to the highest bidders. Machines vary from 2 vCPUs to 16 vCPUs, from 4GB RAM to 120GB RAM. No GPUs yet but some capacity is in the works. Your machines are delivered to you via a fully managed Kubernetes service. The cont ..read more
