It often happens that players are active in multiple teams. For example, within a youth academy, with the national team or a player who is just between the 1st team and the 2nd team. Training sessions are completed with one team and matches are played with the other team. This often means that player data from both teams have to be combined to get a complete overview of a player’s training load and match load. Previously this was done by means of the export function within the JOHAN system, but recently it is possible to make a player active in multiple teams and also to make the data of this ..read more

This is not strange in the football world, but it is always special. Mario: “I have been working for this club for more than 26 years now. Then you have experienced all the ups and downs. Following on from the previous blog post about the physical benchmark between the Keuken Kampioen Division and the Tweede Divisie amateurs, this time we will take a closer look at the positional differences between the two football competitions. In 2017 Swift eliminated the pros of Vitesse on a football field in Amsterdam and in the same year the amateurs of AFC beat the white lions of Telstar with impressive figures (5-0). A year earlier (2016), football association Sint Bavo (better known as VVSB) even managed to beat FC Den Bosch 2-3 in ..read more

Even though it is still common for amateur teams to play matches on a fixed day during the week, for professional teams we see more and more variation in the match schedules. Due to the coronavirus and commercial influences, we see that matches are not only played during the weekend (i.e. Fri-Sun), but they are spread over a broader period (i.e. Fri-Tue). Or when a team plays on Tuesday, their next match might be planned on the next Friday (i ..read more
